Allow me to share my one and only experience with this place:
I was driving around looking for food around 9:30 in the morning (so did not check anything online/on my phone while driving) and I see this place with the open sign lit up (important to the story). It looked interesting enough and seemed like a decent place to stop and try. So I get there and walk in and it feels deserted. Nobody is at the register or anything. I only see two cooks preparing food in the back, but nobody else in the restaurant at all. I wait a few minutes and when a cashier doesn't appear, I utilize one of the convenient tablet order stations at the front to place my order. I go to sit down to wait for my order and after about 15 minutes begin wondering where my food is. There's nobody else in the store and the sign claims "fast" food. So I go back up to the register. There is still nobody there. After a little while, however, one does appear. I tell him I ordered using the tablet and just wanted to know where my food is. He replied that they don't open for another hour or so, at 10:30.
This was very strange because the open sign was clearly lit and the front door unlocked, so nothing up until this point led me to believe this place was remotely closed (though the lack of cashier when I walked in should have been a tip off). After he tells me this information, I say I can't wait that long and could I simply have a refund, as I've already paid. Then another cashier appears and she attempts to turn on the register but can't seem to get it going. Ultimately, she goes to the back (I presume to get some help) and eventually returns with my original order of food (which I honestly didn't even want anymore after the prior fifteen minutes' experience) . She tells me she isn't sure how I didn't know they weren't yet open. I tell her the open sign was on and the front door was open, so how was I supposed to know? She says that the hours are posted on the window (they weren't, I checked again on my way out).
Overall, very very strange and disconcerting experience at the restaurant.
At the end of the day, the food I ordered was decent, but nothing super special in my eyes. I suppose I would consider returning again, but definitely when I'm sure...
Read moreTo start off, this location had great service and the environment was clean. The kitchen looked clean as well. Overall, this location is great for it's service and cleanliness, however the issue arose when I got back to work. I'm not sure if they downsize the portions for rice or something, because my sweet and sour bowl was much smaller in portion size than I usually order. This was my first time ordering at this location as well, and I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say that the day I went might not have been a great day for them, but what I received was not worth $14. The side veggies I got were great, however they were soaking in sauce, and did not have a lot of rice whatsoever, and some of the onions were burnt as well. Being rushed/short staffed is fine, just let your customers know, communicate, and most of the time I don't mind waiting a bit more for a well made meal.
I'm hoping that on my next trip I get a good portioned bowl because I do like this location,...
Read moreI'm a regular customer at Crazy Bowls. I generally get the same dish, every time. Regular Thai Veggie Stir Fry bowl. No protein. Brown rice. Extra Thai sauce on the side. I have never had a more disgusting rendition of my standard order than at this particular outlet. It all came down to the appalling Thai sauce they used. Whatever this sauce was, it was NOTHING like I've ever had in any franchise. It was a sin against God. Completely inedible. Flavor was bitter. Sauce was too thick. Color resembled something you'd find in a diaper. Texture was gritty. Whomever owns this store, do yourself a favor and call the head office immediately to supply you with the same sauce they supply to the other 15 stores...
