The Daiquiri House STL By Jan & Bas — Restaurant in St. Louis

Alright this will be a very honest review. We're visiting from Chicago, and we got in late so we really appreciate the Daquiri House being open, especially on the Wednesday before thanksgiving. I would overall rate this a 3.5 but I will give 4 stars in hopes the owners see this and take the constructive criticism without lowering the review average. We ordered on Uber Eats, so we can't comment on the atmosphere: I'll start with the positives: Hours are great and much appreciated. There arent a lot of spots open for pasta at this time and we were really glad to find you. The pasta sauce, flavor combination was really good, some reviews said there wasnt enough sauce, but for us there was plenty. Here are the negatives: The price doesn't fully correspond with the amount of protein added. I got the shrimp cajun pasta and while I felt like i had an "alright" amount of shrimp, my boyfriend had ordered the chicken cajun pasta and he said there was only 4-5 pieces. My advice would be to add more protein even if you have to make the price like 15.99. The meal needs to be a little more filling. The portions overall were pretty small. You guys have wonderful flavors, and pasta costs cents, add a little more, it will only make everything better altogether. Another thing - I am pescatarian, and eating meat after a long time causes me to have stomach problems. I did find a piece of what looked like beef? in my shrimp pasta, but I can understand it could be easily overlooked, especially in the late hours of the restaurant being open, I'm big on flavor, and it did taste really good. That's why I'm going to give 4 stars. There is room for improvement, and i'm hoping this will help the owners by pointing them in the right direction, and we're excited to give you another try once we come back...

I went last Sunday. It was just me and my boyfriend there. No one else. The person working was super nice and the only one working for the first 30 mins we were there. Then another staff member showed up. Im not here to bash the staffs personality or character. I just wish the wait time was better. It took 45 mins to get our food which was the shrimp quesadilla, 6 piece chicken wings and fries. The food was delicious though! Yes a lot of places serve these items, but the recipie was different. Idk the food was hittin. Also if the full menu can be at the restaurant. We looked on Google before we came and a lot wasnt on the physical menu. Which they were available to order. Even tho i didn’t get any food because was door dashing but it smelled good and i came in for the first time being there and i am not a big fan of down town area like that but it was late like 10:30 pm and the lady that i spoke to although i didn’t get her name but she was phenomenal and she asked about me and had nice conversation for the little time that i was there and she did some for me i didn’t expect and left feeling butter then i came in but definitely will come back and get some food just because even tho im vegan, ima still support because we need more people like her and i know all good things...
