Dave & Buster's Louisville — Restaurant in St. Matthews

So far I'm very unimpressed. My daughter and I came in for the Thursday unlimited wings and unlimited arcade games deal. When we came in there was no one up front, so we went upstairs. The person working upstairs tells us we have to go to the bar to do the special. It took a few minutes to convince the bartender that we didn't want to eat right now, we wanted to play. They finally gave us our play cards. It was hard to tell who was actually an employee since half is them aren't in uniform.

Most of the unlimited games are the shooting ones which, while fun, doesn't give a lot of variety. This D&B is missing many of the games I'm accustomed to from other locations. The card system doesn't work all of the time, so we frantically kept swiping the card to keep the games going.

I'm now sitting at the bar where, after ten minutes, no one has asked what we want to drink. I asked someone for help and he said he would then disappeared. Another person came over and said he would get to me after a few orders because the waitress for our section was "on a phone call." The first gentleman finally came back and started the process. Fifteen minutes to get a drink and request a menu. Side note: every single table is dirty. Seriously, every single one. Four wait staff came to help so far and no one has ever wiped our table down. I'm staring down at pieces of lettuce and some unidentifiable things in front of me.

I have a gluten allergy, and after twenty minutes of waiting for a menu I find out there are three options I can eat, none of which are part of the unlimited deal (of course). Strangely they listed chicken tenders as an GF option, but according to our waitress those are breaded. This kind of miscommunication about food allergies can lead to severe harm for an individual, and with a company this big I expected better.

I'm not having fun anywhere near the value of the money spent. Way too much confusion, no communication among the staff, and waiting twenty minutes to ask for water when the bar is maybe 40% full is just terrible service. Next time I'll be trying one of the other options in Louisville.

Update: supervisor/manager Nicole swept in and helped redeem this D&B. She was very empathetic and did what she could to make our visit much more enjoyable. If they keep people like her working here I think this location will improve...

Family and I had a terrible experience. We thought this would be a great location to take my dad for Father’s Day and also his birthday this afternoon. We had to wait almost an hour to be seated in an area that only had one other family in and quite a few tables open. After being seated we ordered our food fairly quickly because we had all just come from work so we were very hungry. After placing our orders, we waited over an hour to get just two meals out of the six that we had ordered. Took them an additional 45 minutes to come out with another three of the six meals. We became very impatient after my father didn’t receive his meal until very last and almost two and a half hours later. My fathers meal should’ve been the first to come out. We had presents/gifts with us clearly showing we were celebrating more then just Father’s Day. After receiving my meal (nachos) they came out burnt and like they had been sitting in the window for quite some time. My two uncles had their burgers mixed up (one was an all veggie burger other not). My mother’s salad was the wrong salad she ordered and my father’s burger was burnt and clearly not fresh at all. After asking to speak to their manager multiple times, it took him 40 minutes to even bother to come to our table to discuss what was going to happen. After telling him how unpleased we were he said he’d be back in just a few minutes. A few minutes turned into another half hour and it wasn’t even him who came to the table to offer us some type of discount. He comped a lot of the orders but still was trying to make us pay for half the meals none of us enjoyed. The manager (not sure of his name) made the server deal with everything that was his job. We were never asked how we wanted to split the checks up or anything. All while this was happening two other families around us (larger groups) ended up getting their food before us when they arrived after us. The restaurant area was not busy at all. They tried coming up with excuses to why the manager wouldn’t bother to talk to us and why our food was so distasteful. We were all very disappointed with the service we had tonight. I don’t think we will ever be coming back because of this experience. I don’t recommend this place for anyone. Prices are outrageous and food...

I absolutely loved the food and games. Here is the issue the dining area was so under staffed we waited for 45 min with nothing but menus and silverware when we did receive some type of interaction we receives soft drinks or water this person couldn't take our cocktail orders. Then another 15 min wait finally found the manager (which this guy was absolutely amazing) he tried to give direction and fix our issues well his staff again failed terribly no drinks then he returned took our order instructed his staff to fulfill drinks and now appetizers epic fail our server disappeared because the hostess sat her with to much when we flagged down A server drinking A soda she was absolutely TERRIBLE and Nasty she slurped out of her cup and walked over to her Tables. When our server finally made it back we learned she had asked co workers for help and A short time later we watched her ask for her and was basically scoffed at (mind you this wasn't A packed sold out house just her section) so they had plenty of opportunities to assist her. Well we get our orders taken we sit another 30 min with Empty cups our wonderful food comes out they have A stunning menu the in shift manager and very over seated server did everything to make it as wonderful as they could you could tell he was A young manager and A new server attending to us if they blatant disregard to management by other seasoned staff (Also 3 out of 4 meals came out of the kitchen so we had to wait for one of our party to eat) (and also I asked to see our ticket and her order was in) this would of been A 6 Star location it was really fun in the game area and A fantastic menu with amazing.food... Id be ashamed of this corp location or franchise because with all that has going for it would be the it place. Also the same staff had NASTY area's and our over worked server kept hers very nice. I'd love to see A D&B response to my review. In the end the fantastic over worked manager gave us our meal and we loved our time in the game area you could have A 5 star location if you let the lazy and rude staff go and get people that would love to have the...
