My family and I had the pleasure of dining at your restaurant in Statesboro, GA, this evening. Initially, the experience was not welcoming, as the lady who seated us was quite rude, displaying a nasty attitude that made a negative impression. Furthermore, we were seated in the back, in a cave-like area, which we did not find appealing, as it felt draining. The service was also subpar, with hard bread, watered-down raspberry lemonade, and a significant delay in receiving our food. Refills were not provided in a timely manner, and we often had to wait for our server to retrieve items, leading to a prolonged and unsatisfactory experience. We observed another server attending to a larger group, who seemed to be receiving better service, prompting us to wonder why we couldn't have a server like that. During the wait, I requested that their server bring us some breadsticks, as ours were cold and hard. He agreed to do so promptly, and we were impressed by his attentiveness and good manners. His demeanor was excellent, and he ensured that his table was well taken care of, which changed our minds about leaving due to poor service. As we were departing, I complimented him on his outstanding attitude and service, noting that he made everyone feel welcome and well cared for, even if they were not his table. I did not observe a manager walking the floor or assisting Ryan, who seemed capable of handling his table and helping others without needing assistance. If Ryan has not been offered a management position, I strongly recommend that you consider him for such a role, as he would be an excellent representative of your establishment. He deserves a raise, if he has not already received one, and I would like to express my appreciation for his exceptional service. Please inform Ryan that he receives 100 stars from my family and me, and we will be requesting him as our server in the future. Ask for Ryan to be your server from what we witnessed you won’t be...
Read moreWorst Experience at Any Restaurant Ever. We were there two hours longer than we needed to be. My sister was visiting for Christmas and wanted to go somewhere nice, so we went to olive garden(this took place after christmas, when the restaurant wasn't as busy.) First, we waited about 45 minutes for our food. When we got our food, both orders were wrong. Another half hour rolls by, no breadsticks or salad, luckily we did have our appetizer, I guess. We finally got our food about an hour and 45 minutes in. We eventually got the salad and breadsticks- the salad didnt have any dressing, but we were tired of waiting at this point and were just eating what we got. We then ask for a simple dish to go, and a to go box. Pretty easy, right? Not exactly. That took another 45 minutes. I went up to the front desk, and noticed our waiter just hanging out up front. Those to go boxes must have really been a big hassle. I asked someone up front and got to go boxes- the other meal to go we asked for took over an hour as well. We were offered a free dessert. 55 dollars down the drain for cold food, bad service, and an overall terrible experience. I really wanted to show my sister the best of statesboro, but got the worst. I'm extremely disappointed. On a side note, we weren't the only ones waiting on everything. However, it was only the tables with our waiter specifically. Everyone else got their food quickly and left quickly. I might not have even left this review if it hadn't been for the fact that I saw our waiter just hanging out at the front, as he had us waiting for simple to go boxes and other people for drinks. I understand the troubles of working at a restaurant as my sister happens to work at one too, but this was just ridiculous. If you don't want to do your job, don't show up to work. And don't blame it on the cooks who are hard at work. And don't force all of your problems onto your manager, and make them bring food when you only...
Read moreSunday dinner 8pm. We were seated immediately. Raspberry Lemonade with glass of water and cup of ice and my drinks were perfect the whole time. Appetizers included the Spinach artichoke dip(strong spinach taste) and endless salad and breadsticks. Salad and bread are always a good start. Ordered cheese ravioli with cream of mushroom sauce. I have never liked my pasta drowning in sauce, ( next time i will order light sauce) there is a lot of cheese on the cheese ravioli and it is quite delicious without it. ( I removed it and gave it to my bf, he loves it) Don't get me wrong, I love the ravioli but it's so delicious even without all the sauce and cheese ( and extra calories) Of course after all this food, there was no room for dessert- but they still give you the mint chocolates. The service here is outstanding. Always checking in to see if you need anything. Super friendly and professional with great attitudes and a feel that they really like working there.
Side note: IMO, I really wish they would have an adult only dining area. It's hard to enjoy dinner with children screaming throughout dinner. There were several tables with this happening during...
