The Goat on Main — Restaurant in Stroudsburg

Got back from getting a tattoo (from the tattoo shop that's right next to this place). I usually bring water on me when I get a tattoo just to be safe. My friends and I got into the bar and sat down and I had my water bottle directly next to me. The waitress got over to us and told us that my water needed to go into a bag or had to go into our car to put it away. Now we just out of the tattoo shop and our car was parked on the other side of the road and none of us had bags on them. So we just shrugged our shoulders at the waitress and she told us that we can put it on the floor by our feet (in which she originally objected too).

Just think its ridiculous that this happened to us cause I just got a tattoo and this place just happens to be located right next to tattoo shop. Also what happens if I was a diabetic and needed that water by me at all times?

Now if I didn't get a tattoo and was just coming to eat, I wouldn't have a water bottle on me most likely cause why would I need it? We're going to eat anyway? I guess the owners of this establishment don't take that into consideration.

Bottom line is I don't see myself going here ever again and I don't recommend going here if you're fresh off getting a tattoo at one of the tattoo shops (and want water on you) or just need your water on you for health reasons.

The owners should respect their customers and their needs more then worrying about "money" or whatever agenda/rule they're...

This was my 1st time visiting the Goat. The place was immaculate. Spotless from floor to ceiling. The service was fantastic, caring and professional. The food was hot and delicious. Take a look at the pictures! A place worth a visit in my opinion. The only thing I would be hesitant of is parking out back under the trees. The trees are called "tree of heaven". This is a tree that attracts the spotted lantern fly. These bugs poop alot. Your car will be covered like ours was and you will feel the poop landing on you as you walk under the trees. Nasty!! I would recommend the removal of these trees to avoid future issues. The bugs will eventually kill the trees and then it will be hazardous under the trees and they drop limbs.

That aside, stop in for a drink and some food....

My husband, son and I were in town and looking for a place to eat lunch, we walked Main st to scope out places and this was one of the first places we spotted, my son loved the Goat on the sign. Even though it is a smaller bar/restaurant atmosphere they accommodated us so well! The service and food was top tier. I dont think you could get much better. Best burger and fries I've had in some time. We had a slightly longer wait due to a glitch in their pos system but our server came right away and updated us and we really appreciated it ! It's that type of service and attitude that I really appreciate in an establishment. Loved the atmosphere, it's cozy and unique. Will definitely return when we are in town again, maybe for an evening...
