Easily wins five stars. Great food, awesome service, reasonable prices, nice venue. Full bar service. The chips and salsa are some of the best Iāve had in a long time. They can accommodate gluten free and other dietary requirements- just let them know.
The menu is expansive but reasonable. Everything from steak to chicken, seafood and more. Lots of combo and meal for two options.
For a starter we went with the bacon wrapped stuffed jalapeƱos- so good. They come with guacamole slices, a light salsa and delicious dip. Definitely give them a try - we loved them.
We came when it was moderately busy but our service was fast and friendly. After ordering our apps were out in ten minutes and our mains maybe ten minutes later. Good level of attention by servers for check-ins and beverage refills.
For the mains we had a selection of cheese quesadillas, carne asada, tacos and sides. Absolutely loved every bite. Portions were nicely sized, sides were fresh and tasty.
They have a wide selection of beverages to include full bar service and a decent wine selection. They also serve what is commonly called Mexican Coke (made with cane sugar) which the kids loved.
Handicap accessible parking and building. Changing tables in both bathrooms. A covered patio area is available.
Definitely our go to in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet me start out saying that Mexican and Tex Mex food is dear to my heart. This comes from highly experienced connisuers of Mexican food.
Tonight was my second visit to this new location near our neighborhood in Sugar Land. This is a chain local to Houston, but, felt more like a one off with the Mexican Adobe look inside. The bar area is very nice.
The red sauce has a real and slightly hot salsa flavor. My wife loved the green salsa. The chili con queso was decent, not bland like many others are.
Both visits the chicken fajitas were fantastic. The slightly hot spice is good. My Charro beans were flavorful and the flour tortillas were warm, soft and fresh. My wife had the shrimp enchiladas and fajita beef burritos. There was plenty of shrimp in her enchiladas. The fajita beef burrito was huge. You can customize what ingredients you desire inside the burrito. Flavor wise I give 2 thumbs up. My wife was thrilled with the shrimp enchiladas. And same with the fajita beef burrito.
La Tapatia is a Pepsi place, which is a bummer. But, they smartly offer mexican Cokes to save the day. Sorry, have not tried the margaritas as of yet. Service was very good. The food came out quite quickly. Everyone was friendly. So far, a top rating from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI heard good things about this food chain, but for a different location. I see why now. I picked this location because itās closer to my house. I called to place an order for pick-up a little before 10, a lady answers saying āthey arenātā. Thatās literally what she said. I was across the street at Jinya with my brother, and told her I could come inside instead. Thereās music and laughing going on in the background, sheās going back and forth with someone in Spanish before she said ānoā again. I asked what was the reason and she says āthereās no customersā. Online it says they close at 11P, so I asked if the time hadnāt been updated on Google, because yknow COVID..other than that I wasnāt understanding. Another lady answers the phone and says they do close at 11 but theyāre not taking any customers because itās slow and so theyāre PROBABLY going to close early. I mentioned I was literally across the street, could I come in since it was barely 10P. She said no and sometimes they just do that . Never reviewed a restaurant I hadnāt eaten at, but this rubbed me the wrong way. I understand the climate of COVID has changed many places and hours, the least you can do is efficiently communicate with customers, update...
