Schlotzsky's — Restaurant in Sugar Land

Saturday October 28th was our family's second time dining in at the13590 University Blvd, Sugar Land, TX 77479 location. Must say after this visit, our family will not be returning to this location nor recommending this location to anyone. The service we received was absolutely HORRIBLE!

The lady cashier was rude, not helpful when asking her questions about the menu or when trying to customize our order, she had the audacity to roll her eyes a few times in front of us, messed up on my husband's sandwich and blamed him for it, and charged me for chips and a drink individually instead of charging it as a meal. Then while eating our food, she stepped away from the register to the restroom be on her phone (we know this berceuse our booth sat across from the restrooms and she was using her phone using her airpods). She was away for quite some time, that several customers that had walked in and were waiting at the counter left. When she got out of the restroom and walking back to the front, she didn't try stopping one of the customers that had decided to leave after waiting awhile. To add to this, the guy working the back with the food, was sitting in a booth across from the register eating and made ZERO attempt to help these customers or buy time until she came back to the front; he just sat there and watched them walkout. There were roughly 5 customers that had left.

When I asked for a Managers, GM's, or Owner's business card to file a complaint, they both said they don't have any. The female cashier was very light in complexion, dirty blonde/light brown hair with eye wing style makeup and the guy had black hair with glasses.

Our family loves Schlotzsky's, but will take our business to another location. Sad to say, but if you do not like or love your job, then QUIT! This kind of attitude and poor level of customer service can really hurt a business...especially when you work...

What a terrible location, does not meet quality standard of this franchise. I ordered a large fresh veggie and drove 23 minutes from my house to get this sandwich. I should have checked but never have had an issue with quality. The bread was cold and stale, 100% not fresh, called the store and explained and were extreme rude, said bread was fresh and hung up the phone on me. Needless to say I was irate and will be following this up with corporate as the manager and even owner were extremely rude, as opposed to holding their manager accountable, the owner had the audacity to talk about my mom. I am looking forward to catching this man in public and having him talk like that to me face to face. Crossing lines when you talk about peoples patents. We’ve been here several times and normally the staff is rude and the tables are always dirty. I let the tables slide thinking it was the time of day, however it wasn’t busy today and the tables are all dirty. They brought our food on dirty trays. The order was incorrect. The lettuce on the sandwich was well past its due date looking rotten and brown. Upon returning it to the counter for the order being incorrect (no cheese add) and the rotten lettuce they continued to argue that I did not ask for cheese and made no comment for the spoiled lettuce. In fact, they charged me for the cheese to remake the sandwich. It’s very sad to see this beloved chain declining so rapidly in this owners hands. I won’t eat there again.
