Five Guys — Restaurant in Summerville

I went there and paid 27 dollars for two burgers one large fry and one drink and this was not my first time going to this store and not only was it expensive which I knew it was going to be but at least I thought the food was going to be prepared correctly. First of all it’s one o’clock and there’s no ketchup in the dispenser well okay so I go to the other one it was empty as well so I go tell the people behind counter where the manager I guess his shirt was different color than the rest of the workers he was standing there like there wasthng to do keeping the female workers from them doing there job , so my food arrives cooked fresh as usual but the fries are not crispy they are greasy and under cooked and I just paid five dollars for them after tax Not only were the fries greasy this was my second time going here and getting greasy fries that where under cooked but did not say anything the first time justifying in my mind people are not perfect and every now and then people mess up . So then My child’s burger was suppose to be a single and it’s a double and she did not ask for two patties because she can’t eat that size of a burger so she attempts to take it a part and make it where she can eat it , so at this time I’m getting a little aggravated and you might be thinking it’s lunch hour at 1:00 o’clock but there was oniy two or three customers in the store , so I spoke to he lady who toook my order and told her that the fries not cooked correctly and that we did not order a double patty sandwich for her She did not say anything nor did the manager come out and try to help resolve or be a manager in any way so I stepped out side with my receipt and called the complaint line and that was last Friday and have not heard a word , it may be because business is so off for this location due to the employees not doing there job in the store. , the store in west Ashley is always fresh and friendly , the rivers ave store is good and or if there was a problem there the manager is hands on At that location we will see how much longer the Summerville store will be open , do your self a favor before you go to five guys in Summerville , don’t go there’s a new place called wayback burger in Summerville I would definitely recommend it or Matt’s burgers before I would eat there again they need to fire the manager there the bald guy that looks like he’s trying to get a date rather than do his job Don pay for poor food quality ,heck for twenty seven dollars I could have ate at cracker barbell across the street and eat like a king with excellent service and fresh tasty food good luck Summerville five...

I’ve been going to this location for the last couple of years and they’ve always been slow and the service bad but tonight was the worst.

To start with the order is NEVER ready on time, either when I place it online and pick it up or get it through DoorDash. I’ll get there 10-15 minutes AFTER the time and will still wait 20-30 minutes, only for them to get the order wrong but usually I’m tired of waiting and don’t want to wait another 20-30 minutes so I deal with it.

Tonight I placed an order through DoorDash and when they got there to pick up my food, the order wasn’t ready. DoorDash called and said five guys claimed they already made the order and it got picked. So they “remade” the order. The food arrives cold and wrong, this time forgetting a burger. I then tried to call up there, no one answered. I then drive up there (which defeats the whole purpose of having it doordashed to begin with but I wanted a burger) and tell them my order is wrong, only for the girl working to have a fit, complain openly and loudly about it saying she didn’t feel like making the order right because she had already made the order, at which point I said “you made it wrong though” only to get nasty looks and mumbling under her breath, as if I was the one who couldn’t read, make an order right and was wasting HER time.

After tonight’s experience (and the previous others, which I ignored because the food is good) I most definitely will not return to this location. It’s always a shame when a place has good food and a well below...

I recently visited a Five Guys and was impressed with the staff's knowledge of the menu and their willingness to accommodate allergies. I also tried the fries, which are hand-cut and cooked in peanut oil. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They were seasoned perfectly and were a great accompaniment to the burger.

Overall, I had a great experience at Five Guys. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the staff was knowledgeable about allergies. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a...
