⭐ 1 Star. Ah, Kalinka Euro Deli — where you don’t just shop, you time travel straight into a 1993 post-Soviet supermarket, complete with the same warm hospitality… which is to say, none. 🥲🧊
I walked in with dreams of fresh pirozhki, smoked fish, maybe even a nice cup of kvass. Instead, I was greeted with a death stare so powerful I’m pretty sure it pierced my soul and changed my DNA. 👀💔🧬
I smiled. The cashier did not. I said “Hello.” The cashier blinked like I’d just confessed to being a CIA spy. 🕵️♂️🚫
The vibe? Imagine if a freezer married a tax office and had a child raised exclusively on passive aggression. ❄️📄🍼
The shelves are packed — but not in the comforting way. No, here it’s more like a Slavic game show: “Guess How Long This Has Been Here!” Spoiler: the answer is “long enough to remember Yeltsin.” 📅🍞💀
Prices? Let’s just say if your babushka knew you paid that much for a jar of pickled mushrooms, she’d haunt you. 👻🍄💸
And the service… oh the service! I asked if they had fresh rye bread and got an eye roll so dramatic it should have been nominated for an Oscar. 🎭🍞✨
Final Audit: ❄️ Atmosphere: Cold enough to preserve a Siberian mammoth. 🥸 Staff Warmth: Somewhere between iceberg and Antarctic wind. 🥒 Pickle Selection: Extensive… but emotionally unavailable. 💸 Price to Joy Ratio: 10 rubles to 0 smiles.
Conclusion: If you miss the authentic Soviet shopping experience — where customer service is optional, suspicion is mandatory, and the bread might fight back — Kalinka Euro Deli is your dream come true. For everyone else, there’s...
Read moreKalinka Euro Deli is an absolute delight for anyone craving authentic European flavors in a cozy, welcoming setting. From the moment I stepped inside, I was impressed by the friendly atmosphere and the wide selection of deli products that bring a true taste of Europe to Fort Lauderdale.
The food here is fantastic! I tried several dishes, including the classic Russian beet salad, homemade pierogi, and a delicious kielbasa platter. Every bite was full of rich, authentic flavors that transported me straight to Eastern Europe. The portions are generous, and the quality is top-notch, clearly made with care and traditional recipes.
What really sets Kalinka Euro Deli apart is the staff — they are warm, attentive, and always happy to offer recommendations or share stories behind the dishes. It feels like you’re visiting a friend’s home rather than a restaurant.
In addition to the food, the deli also offers a great variety of imported European goods, perfect for anyone looking to take a little taste of Europe home.
If you want genuine European comfort food with a personal touch, Kalinka Euro Deli is the place to go. I’m already planning...
Read moreI cannot say enough good things about Kalinka - both the taste and quality of their food and their employees' attitude - all very polite, nice, and full of positive energy! I don't recall feeling so welcomed at any other Russian store or restaurant Florida or other states. We wanted to return there again and again, but unfortunately our vacation came to the end. I wish we didn't waste time to other places on this plaza and came to Kalinka sooner.
We had an opportunity to eat there twice and both times food was amazingly tasty and fresh. We tried borsch (hot and cold summer one too) - AMAZING, the best ever!!! Home fried potato, rice with veggies, chicken, different salads and their cakes are so good too!
The store is small but has everything we were looking for.
It wasn't my first visit to Kalinka as I've been here few tbefore, but it was first time for my family and they said Kalinka's food and service was the highlight of our trip - the best. I am not sure how Kalinka is managing such a great consistency in great food, but every single time I've been there the food tasted...
