Oliva Pizza & Gelato — Restaurant in Sunny Isles Beach

If you decide to order pizza for delivery - the service is disgusting! The girl who answers the phone does not speak English well, and we are talking about the service in Miami! It took me 10 minutes for her to understand that I was asking her if there was anything spicy in the pizza! Today I ordered pizza from her again ... it was a failure! I recognized her voice on the phone, because I came for pizza on 10/17 and saw her in person - a blonde! Today I ordered 5 pizzas for delivery, and she again got everything mixed up because of her bad English, instead of 6:15 she heard 6:50! For me, time was super important today and her words "sorry" did not help me at all, the entire team I work for waited 35 minutes longer for pizza! The words "sorry" were attached with a modest "dessert" .... I do not need dessert for free, we wanted your delicious pizza! and the courier, expecting a tip, couldn't understand why he wasn't thanked. I'll say this, your pizza is delicious, but we won't order delivery anymore - we want to save our nerves! And we wish the girl to learn English so that she doesn't spoil your clients' opinions of you...

First time I’ writing a review , but was happened today worth it, first time happened to me I was sharing time alone with my daughter and we drove to this restaurant We bought two large ice cream and a pizza to go We was enjoying the gelatos and waiting for the pizza seating in a outside table and after 15 minutes the waitress working outside , don’t remember the name , come and said to us to leave the table because have people waiting for tables , who arrive later and that table don't have any sign of reserved, I told her we are finishing the gelatos and waiting for the pizza to go Because her bad attitude and the roughness of her manners, my daughter step up and leave the table , that pissed me off. We wait other 10 minutes finishing the gelatos stand up Until the pizza was ready In my opinion doesn't matter if you spend in two gelatos and a pizza or $1000.00 every client have the same rights To the manager/ owners take action on this bad...

The food at Oliva Pizza and Gelato was delicious!! We had pizzas (margherita, veggie and pepperoni), spinach quiche, empanadas (mushroom and caprese), a tuna panini, and hazelnut pastry. Everything was tasty and cooked to perfection. The arugula and tomato salad that came with the quiche was also scrumptious. We were too full to try the gelato but the flavors looked good, so we will be back. The restaurant was small but quaint. Our server was a nice young lady, very personable and attentive. The staff was also friendly. It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Note: Some of my party’s eyes experienced a little irritation likely because we were sitting close to the wood fire oven. There is seating closer to the door and outdoor seating, however, and it wasn’t so bad (especially once the food arrived) that we felt the need to change our seats.
