Panda Express is delicious as always, but this location is doing only a so-so job with COVID-19 accommodations. As of 8/17/20 they are doing the usual buffet-style ordering, but they have a 10-person limit posted on a sign. Still, they have no one actually enforcing that limit, and people easily start to crowd in to avoid having the door close on them. They also do not have curbside pickup, and while you can order online, the process is not very clear. Online orders can skip the line and pick up their food on a table toward the back. But there's no signs or directions about it, so it took me a while to figure this out, and I ended up politely standing in the line for a few minutes. To make things worse, given the heavy lunchtime traffic they forgot one of my items and a family member had to go back for it later.
This Panda Express lacks a drive-through and, as always, the prices are higher than I like, despite the ample portions. Thus, while I still like Panda Express, to be honest I often find it better and even more cost-effective to go to Panda (NOT Express) Chinese Restaurant in Kirkwood's Woodbine Center. This other Panda is a more traditional restaurant, but it's still often just as fast or faster to get food there. They have great portion sizes, lots of choices, and more satisfying rice. Read moreOnline order was supposed to be ready at 6:21pm. Arrived right on time and they did not have my order ready. They did not even print out my order from the computer until I arrived at 6:21pm. I asked employee John about a problem from a previous order and right away he was very rude with his response and answered my question very unprofessionally. I then had to wait longer because they had to make Orange Chicken and Beef Broccoli. I received my order 20 minutes late with no mention of an apology. I asked to speak to the manager and she was more rude than John. She walked away and refused to even speak with me. To make matters worse, I brought the food home and it was all over cooked, burnt, and tasted horrible. If I was at a restaurant, I would have sent the food back and walked out. What a waste of $50!!!. I hope this location makes some serious changes regarding training. If not, I don't know how this location will make it. We were taking some time to order food but we were making sure that we were not blocking anyone nd there were no one behind us at that time. The person started yelling at us "what do you want ? This this or this?" We felt annoyed and we ordered quickly.
