Sea Blue Coffee & Ice Cream — Restaurant in Surf City

So we got a coffee and something from the gift shop that came to $28 plus. It came up on the screen to do a suggested tip and the minimum tip was suggested at $4 dollars which was 15% which included the item that I just bought from the gift shop that was $20. Went ahead and tipped them the $4 dollars for making the coffee because they were standing there watching the screen to see what I put in so you look cheap if you try to put something different. As they were making the coffee I asked for a sample of the banana Fat Elvis ice cream because I wasn’t sure I would like that banana flavor and he said they are sorry they don’t give samples. Really … I just spent $28 in your store and tipped you $4 dollars for making a coffee and you can’t even give me a bite of the overpriced ice cream to see if I like it before I buy it? All the other ice cream shops on the island allow you to do that. But that’s OK I’ll just buy my ice cream and coffee from them from now on. My friend was looking on social media and came upon locals talking about a hidden gem. They weren't kidding! The icecreal is amazing! We got caught in the rain so when we walked in we were cold. I got an Americana which they make with 2 Espresso shots. It was strong and fabulous. Then I got 2 scoops of icecream because I couldn't decide... Fat Elvis and Exhausted Parent. This icecream is so freaking creamy and you can taste all the ingredients if says is in the flavor. Best icecream I've had in a while. Before heading out to the fishing pier with the kiddos, we stopped for ice cream & coffee for this mom. The place was packed, even at 8:30 pm! I was impressed how quickly they got everyone taken care of and we were able to look around and shop, of course. The place was awesome. Everything tasted great and the souvenir aspect was amazing. Couldn't decide on what to get my mom for her birthday but having too many options is never a bad problem to have. 😆 Staff was nice too. Especially the lady that was working on the coffee side.
