We love this location of Schlotzsky's. The service is always excellent and friendly. We've seldom had any kind of problem or issue when dining here! We come here frequently for lunch, and we can count on having a consistently great experience.
Some of the things I like best about this location of Schlotzsky's is their consistently prepared dishes, the staff's cheerful dispositions, the quality of the food and bright, openness of the dining area. We especially like the Pick 2 option for picking two dishes off the main menu, to recieve a half-serving of each. This clever option enables us to try a variety of cups of soups, half sandwiches, or side salads, etc. without having to commit to a whole serving of something. We've been able to quickly narrow down our favorites, although we still opt for the Pick 2 offering to enjoy two favorites at once!
There is a good variety of deli-type foods to choose from ~ soups, salads, pizzas, sandwiches, flatbreads, wraps, and deserts! Their cookies are a great thing to grab for an afternoon snack. The Cinnabons are great anytime, but especially as a mid-afternoon or late evening treat with friends! We've been known to get some of the Cinnabons to have for breakfast the following morning.
If you get the medium sized sandwiches, they are ample for most appetites. A person who eats less can opt for the small sandwich. The portion is still ample, but may be too little for robust appetites! The salads are fairly large in size. Sometimes I eat the whole salad; sometimes I take half home and eat it for dinner.. I do the same if I get a medium sandwich.
We also like the variety of chip flavors, and that the chips are unique to and made by the Schlotzsky's brand. The chips are thin and crispy with great flavors like sour cream and onion, barbeque, cracked pepper, jalepeno, etc.
Over all, we really like the food, the location, and the people!
This Schlotzsky's is also conveniently located right off the exit of I-85 in the direction of Lawrenceville. The divided roadway means you have to make a U-turn on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road to get to the restaurant. If you're coming off of I-85, be prepared to move to the center of the roadway to make that U-turn at the next light. IF you're timid, and don't want to make the U-Turn, you CAN turn left onto Horizon drive, then take the first left onto Old Peachtree road, and take the first roadway to the left at the Comfort Inn to come into the Schlotzsky's parking lot...
Read moreI'm a long-time Schlotzsky's customer, but my experience recently might very well change that. I ordered through the app and a glitch placed my order at a wrong location. As soon as it went through and I saw the location, which was 2941 Lawrenceville Suwanee Road, I called them immediately. The manager was belligerent and refused to refund my order. He then said that he "forgot" how and that I would have to call back the next day to talk to his manager Roukesh. I called the next day and Roukesh said he had no intention of giving me a refund regardless of the circumstances. He didn't care about the situation, was curt and unhelpful. If they'd been a little less confrontational, l would have been happy to drive the distance to pick up my food. But after their poor interaction, I didn't feel comfortable dealing with them.
I was extremely disappointed with the lack of service and my interactions with Roukesh and his manager underneath him. Again, I've been going to Schlotzsky's for decades and there is a very good chance that I will stop altogether based on my interaction with this location. Are there standards for owners that carry the Schlotzsky's name? Are people representing Schlotzsky's not vetted so that they can maintain the proper food and customer standards? I'm disappointed that the app had issues but I'm most disappointed in the management at the LAWRENCEVILLE-SUWANEE location. Roukesh knows that you can't treat customers like that and still have them buy from the Schlotzsky's locations in the future. Avoid this place and save yourself the trouble. Go to McDonalds or anywhere else where they care about your business, because Roukesh doesn't and Schlotzsky's doesn't appear to either. Thanks...
Read moreI was initially VERY excited to see the Schlotzsky's right at the Suwanee exit because I hadnt eaten at one in years and always loved the food. However, my husband and I placed our order tonight and the employee handed us our receipt and stated "we're packaging that for you "to-go" because we close in 15 minutes" looks at his watch and says "12 minutes". I just said "youre kidding?" and he just said no. I was completely taken aback by this and was so surprised I just laughed. Then I told him we would eat really fast because I was NOT going to eat in my car. While we were at the table, another employee came up behind us and was speaking to another couple in the restaraunt which i assume were family members. He said to them "Dont worry about the time, I have to wait on THEM anyway...pointing at us! Anyway, needless to say, we wont be back. Thanks for the hospitality. And by the way, we were still out of the...
