I used to love going to Moe's when I lived on the Southside of town. Now that I live on the east side, I have to go to the Moe's on Mahan Dr, and each time over the last couple years has been increasingly disappointing. Every time I come in, the employees look incredibly stressed and/or unhappy. Today I arrived right at 5 pm, so you would think they would be prepared for a dinner crowd. Nope. I wasn't greeted with the normal "Welcome to Moe's" which doesn't bother me too much, but in this case, I wasn't greeted at all. There were 3 people standing at the prep line. 2 completely ignore me, the other was a young man who looked confused, which judging by the rest of my experience, I would assume he's in training so he gets a pass. The young lady finally finished whatever she was doing and asked me what I wanted. She scraped at an empty bin of ground beef until she could almost fill my tacos with the old meat remnants that had been there since I would assume they opened for the day. I asked for a queso. Same thing. The young man scraped at an almost empty bin for a painfully long time before finally asking for a new pouch to refill it with. Then I ask for sour cream. The young man struggles to squirt a mostly empty bottle onto my tacos, tells me it's empty, then is guided by another employee to one of the other of the three sitting right in front of him. I get to check out and of course it asks me for a tip, which I begrudgingly gave out of obligation. I had to wait a few extra minutes to get my queso which is fine since I wanted to make some salsa. There were 8 tiny salsa cups available, also low in stock. As for the salsa... almost empty (at least my flavor was). I scraped the salsa bin enough to fill 2 cups and had to ask for more. I get in the car and my chips are cold and stale. To top it off I paid over $21 for 1 meal and service that was far less than satisfactory. The most I would ask is that you at least keep your food LOOKING fresh. Keep the bin filled and top off with the old. Do better Moe's on Mahan...you...

If you're looking for a fast-casual spot with bold Tex-Mex flavors, Moe’s Southwest Grill is a solid choice. Known for its enthusiastic “Welcome to Moe’s!” greeting at the door, this chain combines a laid-back atmosphere with a customizable menu that appeals to a wide range of tastes.
Food Quality: Moe’s menu centers around burritos, bowls, tacos, quesadillas, and nachos, all of which can be fully customized with a variety of proteins, salsas, veggies, and toppings. Their ingredients are generally fresh, and the queso—one of their most popular items—is creamy, flavorful, and a standout. While some menu items can be a bit heavy, there’s enough variety to make healthier choices if you want them.
Service: Service is typically quick and friendly. Staff are usually accommodating and patient with customization, which is appreciated during busy times. The line-style ordering system keeps things moving, and most locations maintain decent wait times even during lunch and dinner rushes.
Atmosphere: The vibe is casual and family-friendly. The interior decor tends to be colorful and fun, though some locations feel more inviting than others depending on cleanliness and upkeep. The music—often a mix of classic rock and upbeat tunes—adds to the quirky, energetic feel.
Value: Portion sizes are generous, and Moe’s often runs promotions like Moe Monday deals or reward programs that add good value for the price. It's competitively priced against other chains like Chipotle or Qdoba.
Final Thoughts: Moe’s Southwest Grill offers a customizable Tex-Mex experience that’s fast, flavorful, and satisfying. It’s not gourmet dining, but it’s consistently tasty and convenient. A great go-to when you're craving a burrito or just want to drown some chips in warm...
Read moreThe Bannerman location is awful! The staff is always changing therefore, no employee is ever properly or fully trained. Take out orders are NEVER right and you can forget about fresh ingredients or even getting everything you ask for. Half the time they're out of something. Forget about asking for more chips because they look at you like you must be crazy. The quality has gone down hill exponentially especially for the price you pay. Our last visit there was on 3/28/23 and our total was almost $80 for 5 of us and 2 bowls of queso. We only received 1 bowl. My daughter went back up to the restaurant and she was told they were out. It was only 8pm and they don't even close until 10pm!!! This happens A LOT there. I contacted Moe's asking for a refund of $7.99 for the queso I never got. The manager Amanda Brimmer contacted me the next day and asked if I'd be willing to speak with her on the phone. I declined because I e done that in the past and nothing has improved. I asked for the refund again and all the sudden communication has stopped and I still don't have a refund. Everything about this location is poor, right down to...
