I hadn't been to a 5 Guys in a few years. I just don't eat fast food & burgers that often. Yet, I always told people that I thought 5 Guys had the best burgers AND the best fries... The burgers are still amazing, the fries aren't that special anymore. But the reason I won't be returning for my once or twice a year burger experience is that I paid $19 & change for one cheeseburger & an order of fries. This is pure corporate greed. I want a white linen table cloth experience & a complimentary glass of champagne for that kind of money. Is 5 Guy's better than McDonald's, Wendy's, & Burger King? Yes! Is it THAT much better? Heck no!
EDIT - Review Part 2 - As I said, $19+ for a cheeseburger & regular fries, no drink. Get this, the credit card Point-of-Sale device had the balls - THE BALLS - to ask me for a tip! Are you serious? Did you seat me? Did you take my order at a table? Did you bring me my order? Did you ever have an employee on my side of the counter? Get the F out of here. Chipotle next door has better food for half the price & they don't try to guilt me into tipping for doing the basic...
Read moreI give 4 stars only because when ordering through a delivery service the food is usually soggy by the time you receive your food. Other than that, dining in is always a delicious, and pleasant experience. The burgers are mouthwatering! I appreciate all the burger size options and the plethera of toppings. The french fries, both regular and Cajun are flavorful and sure to please. Just be aware that a small fry is not your typical small. You get a lot of fries. The milkshakes are delectable and they have plenty of options. Even a bacon milkshake if that's your thing. They offer several different hot dogs with the toppings you like. There is also a veggie sandwich, grilled cheese and BLT. The employees are always kind and professional. I thoroughly enjoy being able to see my food being cooked fresh to order. A wonderful choice if you're craving an above par fast food experience. Just be prepared to pay for it. But...
Read moreI walked in at 9:44pm. I was, politely, greeted by the receptionist. I placed my order for a family of four (four bacon cheeseburger meals). The cook behind the counter turns around and shouts at the cashier, "he wants what?!". The cashier repeated the order to him. The cook looks at another team member and shakes his head with a sarcastic smile. I told the cashier to cancel my order. The cashier tries to convince me to stay, but I politely declined and stated that I can't ignore the cook's feelings regarding my order 15 minutes prior to closing. I wasn't there to make anyone's closing a problem. My family and I just decided that we wanted Five Guys to-go while we were out. However, I'm not just paying for food but also service, and I thrive on leaving 5 star ratings (and it shows). Thank you to the cashier for trying to correct the...
