From start to finish, everything was incredibly well done. On our first visit, we had the Smoked Salmon Bagel and Avocado Toast, and both were top-tier. The salmon bagel came on a toasted everything bagel with dill & caper cream cheese, pickled onions, tomato, and microgreens — super fresh and full of flavor, no one ingredient overpowering the other. The avocado toast blew us away with value — it came piled high with a huge mound of seasoned avocado, heirlooms, feta, pickled onions, and microgreens on a thick slice of fresh sourdough. We added smoked salmon to ours, and it was 100% worth it. We also had the Strawberry Bloom — a matcha latte made with Kyoto matcha and strawberry pistachio syrup. It was hands down one of the best flavored matchas we’ve had anywhere. I added an extra shot of matcha for more intensity, and the combo still stayed smooth, not overly sweet, and incredibly well balanced. The next day, we came back for lunch and tried two flatbreads — the Hot Honey Pepperoni (no jalapeños for me) and the Margherita. Both were excellent, but the pepperoni was my personal favorite. The crust was soft and airy with a beautiful char, and the touch of hot honey gave it a perfect sweet-savory balance. The Margherita was super fresh and classic, letting the quality of the dough and ingredients shine. We ended the meal with the pistachio white chocolate cookie, and it was so good — just a bit crumbly, not overly sweet, and packed with flavor. One of the better cookies I’ve had in a while. The vibe inside is clean, modern, and bright — very welcoming without trying too hard. Coming from NYC where great food is everywhere, we were genuinely impressed. Flatbread & Butter is a gem in Tampa — easily a spot we’d recommend to both locals and visitors.

WHERE TO FIND IT: It's at the back of the little courtyard on North Ashley Drive. You can also cut through a pedestrian alleyway on West Tyler between the Pacific Counter and Melting Pot Social. WHAT I THOUGHT: It's a nice little coffee and brunch spot. Very pretty both outside and inside. I thought their version of an acai bowl was fairly exotic; it comes with a bunch seeds, microgreens (clovers?), and even lime slices. Really good stuff! I'm worried though that their location may be too hidden for them to attract enough customers. You can't even really see their place from the street; I only discovered it because I happened to be closely studying this section of the city in Google Maps. They desperately need to post signs out by the roadways. If you're lucky enough to find it though, it's a real treat!

I love this place, everything is so tasty, I love the coffee, I think it's more like Pete's coffee, I find it delicious Feta scone & salmon bagel , omg soooo good So sad about that person with a doggie, I've seen many ppl come in with dogs about a month ago, I've never had a dog but I don't find them disgusting There is also an ample beautiful seating area outside if you want to dine with a dog, I don't see reason why that person needed to escalate the problem so much (Checked his profile , he doesn't leave good reviews to anyone😆) The employees here love the dogs, I've even seen a staff lady bring a doggie water bowl to some traveling couple Maybe some weird manager yelled at them, they watch you remotely sometimes....

Disappointing! We arrived and the young lady behind the counter was not very welcoming or with a smile. I believe this is quite important as she is the 1st person you come in contact with and who was taking our order. We were happy to see the place filled with people and we waited patiently for our order. But after 20 minutes for 2 Bagel melts and watching clients who had arrived After us was being served! I asked the gentleman where was our order and with no apology or explanation just said in a hurry, “you have to wait, it’s coming!” I understand if the restaurant was short staffed or just an explanation or apology would be understood, but to blurt out “you have to wait, it’s coming” is not acceptable. The most sincere and kind reply was from the Barista to whom I asked to put my coffee in a to go cup after we cancelled our order. They did gave us a refund as we could not wait any longer. You have a good business. The team other than the Barista will needs more training in how to communicate with clients and with a smile,...

Every time I went there I’ve been asked copule of times if my order is for here or to go, I always say for here and I’m still served everything in plastic cups or hot drinks in “paper” cups with plastic lid although I see tons of normal ceramic mugs there - that are not being used, I guess just because they don’t want to spend time washing them later. The most ridiculous thing that happened last time - my drinks were served in double “paper” cups 😀 and drinks were barely warm. Such a waste of planet resources, I’m not going back to this place, I guess I can find another coffee shop that would serve my food and drinks for 50$ on a plate and mug and without plastic cutlery 😭. Coffee is really average, iced coffee was just horrible, matcha was pretty good, I liked the sandwich as well, but it would taste much better if I did not have to eat it with...
