This might be the first 4 star review this food truck has. I came back from watching a show at the straz and I was really hungry after finding my way back to my car. I came across the food truck and was greeted by a very friendly person working the food truck saying it was the best food truck in Florida (or at least Tampa) I’m not usually skeptical but I was at first but he hooked me and I ended up getting the beef shawarma with fries and 2 ranch. I’ve never tried shawarma and it was pretty good! It was weird to have pickle in it but still ate it all and felt full afterward! My real only complaint is that this was really expensive. 16.91 for the meal with fries and apparently the ranch is each 99 cents. I got 2 of them cause I like my ranch, but the ranch was in packets and not in containers with lids (a tad disappointed with that). This food truck definitely has high standards expectations and offers a variety of things if people don’t like specific options, but with this being the case, if people expect highly of it, they’ll judge it like that, and so I am the first person to leave a 4 star review. Great food truck! But not THE BEST. Ps: the picture shows one of the half’s of the shawarma I ate the other one before taking the picture.

I ordered the chicken shawarma pita, and right off the bat, I noticed a big red flag. The guy who took my order, who also was the chef, left the food truck immediately after taking my order still wearing the same gloves to help unload groceries and supplies. He touched the car, all the items, and then went right back into the truck to fix my food with those same gloves. I almost canceled my order right there, but I thought, ‘Maybe the food will be worth it.’ HA! I was so wrong. The first six bites were nothing but bread and vegetables. Yeah, the portion size of chicken in my pita? Tiny. Total waste of $11, it was worth more like $7. Good flavors, just overpriced, and unsanitary habits in practice (If a food handler is willing to do that openly for everyone to see, what are you doing when no one’s watching? I won’t be eating here again.)

If you're in Tampa and craving some top-notch halal food, look no further than this fantastic food truck Mays Alreem Halal! I recently tried their chicken and beef shawarma pita, and it was absolutely incredible. The meat was perfectly seasoned, tender, and full of flavor. The chicken was juicy and well-marinated, while the beef had just the right amount of smokiness and a satisfying char. The pita was soft and fresh, wrapping all the deliciousness together without falling apart, which is always a win. They also pack the pita generously, so you’re getting a hearty portion for a great price. The owner was friendly and service was efficient, and you can tell they take pride in their food. Whether you're a local or just visiting Tampa, this food truck is a must-try for any shawarma lover. 10/10 would definitely recommend!

Last Monday, we had the pleasure of trying the Classic Cheeseburger at Mays Alreem, and it was a perfect example of comfort food done right. The burger was generously sized, with a juicy, well-seasoned patty that had just the right amount of char. Each bite was packed with flavor, from the savory meat to the melted cheese that oozed over the edges, creating a deliciously creamy texture.

The toppings were simple but fresh: crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, and a hint of onion that added a bit of crunch and a touch of sharpness. The soft, lightly toasted bun held everything together without getting soggy, and it had just the right amount of sweetness to balance out the savory elements.

Presentation-wise, it looked incredibly inviting, served with a side of golden, crispy fries. The entire experience was enhanced by the casual yet lively vibe of the place, making it a great spot to unwind with a fantastic burger. If you’re looking for a well-executed classic cheeseburger, this one hits all the...
