My partner and I made the choice on a whim to give them a visit late Sunday night after a tiring music festival, and were surprised that there weren’t any vegan restaurants open late in the city! Thank goodness I came across their information and we went right after our festival. Many people who attend are vegan and we figured there may be a bunch of orders coming in, and that’s exactly what happened, a ton of tickets hung all at once. As long as the food was delicious, we were willing to wait and offered to be put on the backburner so the employee could catch up because he was alone and we weren’t in a rush (he was still making our food too but we didn’t want him to rush ours). Mike was an incredibly kind, genuine person who made our experience significantly better. He’s the reason why I’m making this review, which I very rarely do but this is well-deserved.
The food? F** INCREDIBLE!!! We ordered the vegan bang bang chicken, vegan crab rangoons, and vegan bao buns (they ran out of jackfruit but accommodated my dietary restrictions by putting the bang bang chicken in a bao instead and I’m very grateful). My non-vegan partner agreed that the vegan rangoons were better than any real crab ones we had ever had in the past. There’s a reason why they are named Shiso Crispy, because the crunch on the wonton shell was impeccable, so light and crispy, and the flavor was the best tasting rangoon filling. The vegan bang bang chick’n texture was spot on and the serving is honestly enough for more than two people!
Top notch service and customer care, the most delicious freaking vegan food I’ve had in a hot minute. Now I just need them to set up on the east coast of FL and I can die happy. I’m glad to have a new go-to food destination on my...
Read moreSo I went an hour before they closed on a Sunday night and their were still people ordering after me. Personally, yes it’s a lot of food with what I got, but the price? Like almost 20$ (bang bang chicken) for some damn street food. Should be at least 15, got me trippin. I’m not gonna buy something that’s 20$ if it’s not up to par. The dude didn’t even give me a short rib bao and the whole time until I got my food I was wondering why my bill was like 43$. I mean I didn’t even get the dumplings, but like 7$ for only 3 pieces??? Y’all got me trippin! You get a lot of chicken in the bang bang one but personally it’s just not my style to have tons of rice on the bottom with sauces you can get at the damn Asian store. Although the pictures and presentation looks amazing, it’s all about the taste, and to me it was okay. I think anyone can make this, it’s just the seasonings on top and how they presented it, that make it look like amazing. I’m cultured in food and good food, not saying this is horrible or anything so to me if you really really like especially what I got, your prob white or American and don’t know what else is out...
