I had read several reviews before selecting this local for dinner. We were going to Tampa Theatre for a show starting at 8:30. I made sure that we had plenty of time for dinner and a few drinks before show time (I didn’t want to chance slow service and get angry if service took long). We arrived between 6:15 and 6:30. Upon entrance we were told to sit any place we’d like. Picked a corner booth toward the back away from the hot sun coming in the front windows. Would have loved to sit outside unfortunately it was just too hot at this time of day. We were there for a good 10-15 minutes before our server came for our drink order. This wasn’t a huge annoyance as I was prepared for this. We had plenty of time to look over the menu prior to her taking our drink order. We placed our order for drinks, appetizers and dinner all at the same time. Our appetizer came out in a timely fashion. We had the mushroom and goat cheese bruschetta. It was very good ( I didn’t love it but I didn’t hate it either) however i prefer original bruschetta and would probably just add the goat cheese next time. Our food came out a few minutes after we were done with our appetizer and it was piping hot. My boyfriend had the meatball sub and it looked delicious (and I don’t like meatball subs). He said it was fantastic. I ordered the blackened fish tacos and they were delicious as well. I was completely stuffed and there was no room for desert. My boyfriend had grumbled a few times about the slow service but I reminded him we were in no hurry and that I had factored that into our timing. I didn’t feel that the service was super slow. We were in and out in an hour and 15 minuets. We left there right around 7:30 which left us plenty of time to walk to the theater and have a drink before the doors opened at 8. Overall it was a good experience, the atmosphere was great and the food was excellent and the servers were very friendly. I would return. I completely forgot to take pictures of our...
Read moreOh boy. Wow. This restaurant has the potential to be more than it knows. The location is perfect, the vibe is hip, relaxing, and welcoming. With the great tunes playing, and the door wide open it draws you right in. Enter at your own risk. You will be instructed to sit wherever you want so that you can be forgotten for 30 min. You will have the pleasure of grabbing your own menus, and grabbing your own server as well. I had the pleasure of being served by Leslie. She very kindly rolled her eyes when I tried to order food when she wanted to walk away to “grab a drink menu”. I want to apologize to you Leslie. I am so sorry that after waiting for service for 30 min I was ready to order. My bad. After another 30 min you will finally receive your food. And due to your poor service and big appetite from waiting, your hot food, like my French dip, will be as cold and appetizing as Leslie’s personality. After waiting for no one to ask how your food is, you will find yourself asking for a manager who, to your wonderful delight, is your server. Leslie. After simply stating that your food is cold and you want nothing else then to simply have it removed from the receipt, she will proceed to find and tell Dennis that you’re upset with your food. Dennis is also conveniently a manager. He will be kind enough to tell you “Well this sandwich is delicious. And when it’s hot it’s really good.” Why thank you Dennis. Unfortunately I didn’t have the HONOR to taste your favorite and delicious sandwich. Overall, I’m...
Read moreGreat place that I would highly recommend to anyone in Tampa. We stopped to grab a bite after exploring the river walk and before heading home. Food was AMAZING, service even better! Just an overall great experience!
I got the Gyro which is non-traditional (made with beef and pork), but absolutely delicious - different, unique and I loved it. The waiter was very good about pointing out that it was not going to be a traditional Gyro made with lamb which I thought was great that he made the point of making sure it was clear even though it was clearly described on the menu. It was served on a delicious fluffy pita and a side of Greek salad. My girlfriend had the Italian Cuban and very much enjoyed it as well. The hardest part was making our selection from the list of great sounding sandwiches with great sounding combinations of tastes! The flatbread pizzas also looked amazing,, but in the end, neither of us were disappointed in our selections!
Service was amazing with a very attentive waiter and barkeeper - friendly, helpful and quick to make sure our experience was top notch in every way. The ambiance was also very pleasant. We were only sorry that we were on our way out of town and couldn't stay longer to enjoy the "vibe"...
