Really disappointed in the Four Green Fields location at Curtis Hixon Park in Tampa! My wife and I are retired, and enjoy dining out frequently in the Tampa Bay area. For the 20 years we have lived in Tampa, we frequently dined at the Four Green Fields when it was located on Platte. It was always fun with good food. However, they closed that location. Our recent dining experience at the Ashley Drive location on October 26 at Curtis Hixon park was NOT a good experience. I ordered the fish, which was good, and my wife ordered a hamburger. The hamburger was so bad, she stopped eating it after one bite. We called over the waitress. She acted a little "put out", but offered to make another one. Since I was almost done with my meal, my wife opted to just say no thank you, as we had tickets to a show and didn't have time to wait. They did not offer to take it off the bill or make any other considerations. The hamburger was left on the plate. Over the next two months, my wife tried to call the Ashley location to ask for a Manager. A Manager was conveniently "never available". She was not seeking a refund, but to tell the Management of our experience so that it might be helpful to them. It became a joke to keep calling every week to see if she could report her experience and to make them aware of what happened. They continued to take her phone number and promised a call back. No call back was ever received. This went on for two months. Finally, not wanting to be treated like this, my wife called another location, and talked to a Caroline. She was very nice at first, promising a return call from their Manager Hannah. Days later, Hannah never did call, as promised, but Caroline called back and left a nasty, curt voice mail. She explained that no refunds would be issued, and generally had a very bad attitude, like "stop calling us". Remember, no requests for a refund were EVER made by my wife. She only wanted to tell them what our experience had been at the Ashley restaurant location. Because of this bad management style, and because of that burned to a crisp, dry and particularly old looking hamburger, they have just lost two good customers. What a shame that Restaurant Management is not training their younger staff how to treat their lifeblood, which is their tried and true customers. This could have been an easy fix on their part. To actually display some good Customer Service with an apologetic answer. Instead, this review is being left here to warn other customers of both the potentially bad food quality, and the attitude of both locations of Four Green Fields. Be forewarned. ...

If you're visiting Tampa and looking for a good bar:
Close-by: Across the street both Dracula's Wine Bar and Paddywagon are fantastic options. Hotel Bar a few blocks down across the street from the Hilton is great for classy cocktails.
Channelside: Take an uber to LightHaus Beer Garden for a large open drinking area and food options. 5-10 minute drive. This is the recently upgraded, newer area of Tampa that usually gets crowded nowadays.
If you're REALLY looking for the local party areas go to McDintons Irish Pub on South Howard Ave or SpookEasy in Ybor.
Tons of bars nearby for both. They also get crazy at night and host a younger crowd, so only go if...
Read moreGreat little Irish pub in the heart of Tampa the only thing that let in down was the service, I went in on a Monday night 02/27 and the Bar had three other customers. The service was awful and when I asked the waitress where my drink was after waiting 10 mins she said she was busy "Busy taking with her friend at the end of the bar or going into the kitchen to chat with the chef.
I am from Ireland and the bar has a good vibe but you expect to wait 10mins plus when the bar is jammed packed and trust me it was dead.
Great Irish look to the Pub but I have to say there are...
