πππ Fine Dining Experience at Samaria Cafe π³ποΈ
Situated at 502 N Tampa St, Tampa, FL 33602, Samaria Cafe presents itself as a breakfast spot worth checking out, even if my experience landed at 3/5 stars. Here's the scoop on my visit:
π©βπ³ Christina: The Hilarious Server! π€£π Our encounter with Christina, our server, was an unexpected highlight. With her humor and charm, she added a dash of entertainment to our meal. ππ¬ Her vibrant personality shone through, making our dining experience much more enjoyable. If you visit, I highly recommend requesting Christina for a side of laughter with your meal. ππ
ποΈ Downtown Vibes, Nothing Extravagant ππ½οΈ Samaria Cafe, nestled in Downtown Tampa, boasts a simple and straightforward atmosphere. While it may not be adorned with fancy decorations or remarkable furnishings, it offers a comfortable place to grab a bite. We chose to sit outside, soaking in the urban surroundings. ποΈβ The outdoor seating was fine, but it didn't provide any particularly unique features to enhance the experience. πͺ
π³ A Fair Brunch with a Side of "Okay" π₯ͺπ³ Turning to the food, I opted for the Vegetable Omelette, a blend of tomatoes, onions, green peppers, spinach, and mushrooms. While the description sounded promising, the execution was just okay. π₯¦π My friend tried one of the sandwiches, which left us both feeling like the choices we made were decent but not particularly memorable. The overall verdict? Average food without any standout flavors. ππ₯
π° Slightly Overpriced for the Experience π€·ββοΈπΈ The one aspect that fell a bit flat was the price point. While the food and atmosphere were okay, the cost seemed slightly on the higher side given the overall experience. It's essential to feel that you're getting good value for your money, and this was an area where Samaria Cafe missed the mark.
π³ In a Nutshell: A "Fine" Breakfast Spot ππ½οΈ To sum it up, Samaria Cafe offers a "fine" dining experience with a touch of humor from the delightful Christina. While the atmosphere is nothing to write home about, and the food falls under the category of "okay," it may not be the most remarkable breakfast spot in Tampa. However, if you find yourself in the area and are looking for a straightforward meal, Samaria Cafe could fill that void. π³ποΈ

Β Β Β Read moreWe came on Sunday for brunch. We drove across the bay for a day in Tampa at a museum nearby and for food. We chose this cafe based off reviews online. It is streetside parking unless there's a garage nearby somewhere. On Sunday the meter starts charging at 2:00. Upon entering this cafe we were seated in a booth. It was not the cleanest booth and seats and wall looked like they could use a good scrubbing. The waiter came and greeted and brought waters. I stepped down hall into restroom. There was a foldable changing table there; so if you have a baby (there were at least 3 I saw in cafe) this is an option. The bathroom itself was decently clean and stocked with toilet paper, soap and paper towels. The food arrived and mine and our daughter's was ready. My husband's chicken sandwich had to go back as grilled chicken was still uncooked in the middle. My gyro with fries and my child's grand slam with bacon and scrambled eggs were pretty and a good portion. His sandwich came out about 7-10 minutes later. He stated it looked like kitchen had just cut raw portion off as chicken in bread was smaller. Maybe not, maybe new chicken cut was just smaller Food did taste good. We did like it after all 3 were eating. Health concerns: Separately from yuck booth I mentioned earlier. The garbage can had to go out front door I guess...it was wheeled with stacked garage bags no less than three times up and down the rows of tables past us eating. I also saw the clean silverware from dishwasher being unloaded for table sitting. But, this was being done bare handed without gloves and I didn't see if he washed his hands first... So, with all the concerns we had during meal I was already not thrilled. Then at checkout we got our check. One item was more than it showed on menu. When we asked about this 3 people came from back to see my phone before adjusting the price. This is not somewhere I would go again most likely. Tons of options in Tampa. Sadly this did not meet up to my standard of clean and easy...
Β Β Β Read moreI am so disappointed in my experience here today. My boyfriend and I were walking around downtown and saw this place. The menu looked great and there was outside seating for my aussie. My bf went inside to ask the host if we could get a table and she told us a waitress would be out soon. About thirty minutes went by and no one had come out. My bf kept reassuring me that surely someone would be out shortly and that they are probably just busy inside. I work in the restaurant industry so I can totally sympathize. By this time, though, a large party had been sat after us and they too were wondering where the waitress was. When he finally went inside to check in, he said the host started looking around, apologetic that no one had come. Finally, the waitress came out. She was of asian or Hispanic ethnicity. She walked past our table and started taking the large partyβs order. Of course we were not going to complain but usually you serve in order. The large party ordered drinks and then she greeted us. We already had plenty of time to look over the menu so we gave her our full order. We should have taken the amount of time it took to get service as a warning because it then took another forty minutes to get our food. What really solidified our experience is between ordering and getting our food, the initial larger party and the two top put their order in and received their food before my bf and I did. The server apologized and said she didnβt know where our food was. After all this, she handed me something different than I ordered and at room temperature. We still had not said a word or complained to her. We were way too upset and hungry so we didnβt want to cause a scene. We just wanted to leave. We quickly ate our food and went to the host to pay, didnβt even wait for our waitress to bring the check. And yes we still tipped because we understand what itβs like to work for tips. Weβre not looking for anything. We just want to share our...
