A Culinary Gem in Tampa: GAUDIN
My evening at GAUDIN, kitchen and bar in Tampa, was an extraordinary experience that went beyond my expectations. The ambiance of the place immediately enveloped me in a sense of elegance yet comfort, setting a fantastic tone for the night.
The service was impeccable, with Xavian, the bartender, playing a pivotal role in making my visit exceptional. His outstanding service, coupled with a genuinely warm personality, made me feel welcomed and well-cared for throughout our meal.
A highlight of my visit was the food, particularly the jerk salmon with coconut rice and brussels sprouts. It was a dish that captured the essence of culinary artistry. Each flavor was perfectly balanced, creating a symphony of taste that was simply outstanding. The salmon was cooked to perfection, and the coconut rice and brussels sprouts complemented it beautifully. The food was so mesmerizing that I completely forgot to take a picture, a rare occurrence for an avid food lover like me!
Adding to the fantastic dining experience was the bartender, who was a delightful blend of a comedian, musician, and an all-around good guy with an infectious energy. His presence added a layer of joy and entertainment to our evening, making it even more memorable.
In essence, GAUDIN is not just a kitchen and bar; it's a place where every element converges to create a remarkable experience. The staff, especially Xavian and the multi-talented bartender, truly make GAUDIN stand out with their enthusiasm and ability to connect with guests, turning a simple meal into an unforgettable event.

Read moreWe were staying at the Barrymore Hotel for a few days in Tampa last November and early on discovered this amazing restaurant in the lobby named Gaudin's. They were still in the soft stage of opening at that time and were not even listed in Yelp. Nevertheless, we thought we would try them for brunch and eat in our room. It was a quick ride downstairs to their cozy restaurant. We noticed that they were also serving dinner later. We grabbed a menu for our room.
We were really surprised at how big our brunch box was. Gaudin's doesn't skimp on their servings. They serve generous portions. In our Brunch Box were honey waffles, turkey sausages, quiche, scrambled eggs, toast , fruit, a fruit parfait with berries, breakfast potatoes with caramelized onions and other chopped veggies. I may have missed something. Oh yeah, the mocha lattes. Everything was so delicious that we ordered from them a couple of times more. Why go anywhere else when the best is a short trip downstairs?
Our server was Tiffany, who was a delight! Very friendly and helpful.

When we are in Tampa next time, we will definitely...
