This bar is the best in Channelside and downtown. I go here all the time. Great service and awesome food. Plus every sports game I want to watch.

OMG , I was there when the rabid dog lady was sitting outside and when the fake id girl was there with the obnoxious guy. Their stories are one sided and complete lies. First the Rabid dog lady's pet attacked a waitress and the manager guy came too talk to the lady about her dog in a public place and the dog came to attack him. He politely and professional informed the lady that we cannot have vicious dogs around in a family environment with children running around. She just did not get it.

And The fake spousal ID guy was actually a girl. The girl looked really young and when asked for ID she showed the bartender not the manager a military spousal ID. According to their training a spousal ID is easily faked. The bartender asked for a drivers license or something else as a secondary ID. She could produce nothing else with her name on it. He refused her drinks. She leaves and comes back twenty minutes later with some guy and sneaks into the restaurant without the bartender noticing. The bartender noticed and informed the server of the previous encounter at the outside bar. The lady tried to order drinks again and then the manager stepped in the the guy became abrasive. The manager brought over the fake ID book and showed the couple that without proper secondary ID she could not be served alcohol. Again he argues. The police sitting at the next table even said "wow, we did not know that about spousal ID" and the manager showed them the book they went Good to know and next time we will ask for secondary ID to verify. The restaurant was doing it's job and I think they did it well. GREAT JOB...

Maloney's is a good place to grab a quick bite for lunch or even before a lightning game if you want to avoid the huge crowd at Fergs. I work in the area and have relied on this establishment for last minute lunches when I am too lazy to pack my lunch at home. Their shepherds pie is a go to staple for me, it is really good and you get a good portion. I have tried their fish and chips and they were not bad but I am just not a fan of fried foods. When I want to eat something healthier they have a good fish and veggies option. You can get the a steamed or blacked piece of chicken breast or whatever fish fillet options they have with a side of steamed veggies for under $10. I will typically ask that they include fresh lemon with my fish as it just makes the blackened fish taste so much better.

The ambience is very chill. The inside is a bit dark and they have arcade games as well. They do have an enclosed patio and part of the inside bar extends outside. The girls working the bar are always friendly and pretty attentive.

I would not say the food is out of this world but it is not bad; this is a chain after all. If you want a quick lunch and happen to be in the area I would...

Service was slow, food only marginal, and the owner/manager I can only describe as an idiot. I had my dog with me. Today was her first day back from an intensive two week training boot camp. She sat quietly and patiently under my table all evening, growling only once when a server accidently tripped over her back leg. As I was signing my check before leaving, the owner - or manager, not sure which - walked towards us. I asked him NOT to approach my dog, but he did anyways!!! Duh!!! My dog is very protective, and stood up, growled, bared teeth, etc. She was on a leash and eCollar, and was never out of my control. But rather than apologize for his arrogance, the owner informed me he could not have a "dog like that" on the premises. I reminded him that I had asked him not to approach MY dog, but he said that all dogs needed to be pettable by his staff. What?!? Must have missed that sign on the way in.... Needless to say I will never go back. It's his $$$ loss; I just moved into the area and dine...

This was my first spot for a bite on this trip to the 813, as it was closest to my hotel after coming back from the business part of my travel. (Side note: you know that part in my profile about "castles in the sky" meaning in the construction industry so that means I wasn't the most GQ or in sports bar haute couture) My waitress was pleasant and attentive, and didn't require much effort to get me to enjoy another Smithwick's Red Ale especially after being non-stop for 10 hours prior. The smooth malt flavor & subtle sweetness of the beer was enough to recharge me, and balance the heat from my order of 5 wings and buffalo chicken sandwich. Thick cut fries & sweet BBQ sauce balanced my meal. Calories don't count on a Friday, and besides I was at a jobsite. Their black & tan sundae helped me to rehydrate and satisfy my sweet tooth. Oh, and speaking of great service, they saved my construction goggles since I had a slight oversight and held them for when I went to pick them up later. Kudos for that!

I came to the city for a week on a work trip and stayed very close to this place. The first night I decided to stop by, and it was a great choice — cold beer, a good burger, and excellent service. At first, it seemed like just a nice sports bar, but after trying a few other spots in the area (bad food, warm beer...), we realized this one was a gem. The following days, we explored more of the menu — the potato chip nachos were amazing (be careful, they’re huge and super tasty, you might not be able to eat anything else!). Then we tried the grouper, a local fish, and it was a pleasant surprise — absolutely delicious. By the second day, the bartender already remembered us and greeted us warmly, and the waitresses were always attentive, making sure our drinks were full and our experience great. In short, great food, cold beer, and outstanding service. Highly recommended!

0 attention to detail with crappy food. Buns were not toasted, def bought off the shelf. The fish portion was tiny, probably from frozen. Almost no flavor. Tartar sauce also not fresh. Pathetic Caesar salad. All that for $22? You're better off at Chipotle, risking the food poisoning. For bonus points, the bathrooms had no paper towels? Both bathrooms, at lunch time, on a slow day. No one cares, no one is looking. Took 20 minutes to get a Caesar salad from a bag? Pass.
