Early last month in February I purchased a “RING” for my new home. March 1st was when I decided to take it back because my Aunt said it wasn’t going to fit. I go up there and take back and they stated that it was the RING battery. I feel silly because I didn’t know until they mentioned it and it clearly says battery. So the lady said it was the battery and the lady was telling the guy how big the actual RING box was. This was my first time purchasing a RING, I didn’t know the size of the box because when you purchase it, it’s a cardboard box and after you purchase it, you get the real item. So he continues to say “something fishy going on here something fishy going on” as if I would be lying. Yes it is something fishy going on because why did I pay over $120 for a RING and BJS the company gave me a $20 battery in return!!!! So the guy said the store manager have to investigate the situation and run the cameras back as if that was supposed to spook me or something. I told him that’s fine. The lady made a copy of my receipt and I put my name and number on the piece of paper. Was told they will call me yesterday, March 2, 2021. I didn’t receive a call, voicemail, NOTHING!!! I call this morning about the situation and explained to the lady over the phone. She told me to hold on and got back on the phone and said sorry that they didn’t call and that I can come back up there to get my refund. I immediately went up there. They all kept saying that they were sorry and that was it!!!! HOW BJS DO A WHOLE INVESTIGATION ON MY SITUATION AND FORGOT TO CALL ME AND ALL I GOT WAS AN APOLOGY. Just wow!! I paid over $120 for a RING and got a $20 RING battery instead. The first mistake! Try to get my money back and was pretty much accused of lying. The second mistake! Then did a whole investigation on my situation and FORGOT TO CALL ME. The third mistake!! I wholeheartedly understand that it was probably an honest mistake that they gave me the battery and not the actual RING but to make me feel like I was lying or trying to steal is disrespectful to customers who pay good money there!! Read more8/20/2022 I have been shopping at Bjs in Taylor, MI since it opened up. Today was my worse experience ever. First, I did an pick up order and when I picked it up, one item was canceled. I asked the worker why it was cancelled and she said they were all out. I realized that I had to get my daughter some milk so I went in. I parked in the spot that said members with infants because my infant daughter was in the car with me along with my oldest and my mother. When I walked in I was approached by a worker and he said that spot is for members with infants. I said “ My daughters are in the car with my mother. I saw the worker walk over to someone in the customer service department. I continue to shop for milk and when I got my milk, i saw the item that had been cancelled off my pick up order. I then called my mother and told her what happen with the item and the worker approaching me . She said “ there was a man acting like he was pushing a buggy and trying to look in my car. So I told her what happen when i walked in and she said she got out the car and the man didn’t say anything. I went to make a complaint at the customer service and the manager said. “ well it’s a policy and he did not hear you say that your mother was in the car”. How can someone just feel they can look through your car without your permission??? I asked her did she want someone to look in her car and she said no. So how do you think I feel. I did not feel comfortable at all with the service I received today. I felt as of My children were being watched. I felt profiled. I have never had anyone approach me about a parking spot before there and for someone to think they can go up and look in my car with my mother and daughters in it made them and I very uncomfortable and I will never shop at this...
Read moreEdited: Worst customer service EVER! I had an issue with an employee, I wrote the customer service on the website. They asked a bunch of questions, said they had to escalate it and they'll contact me soon. That was October, its now late April. Every now and then I got an email saying they haven't responded, they'll send it again. Nothing. One said they needed more time, I told them it was 4 months, how long does it take? Although I liked BJs, the gas saved me money, I won't be renewing my membership. I refuse to shop anywhere they can't be bothered to even reply in almost 6 months. I didn't ship inside much, due to health reasons, but I did frequently get gas each week, sometimes twice a week. I'll be paying more somewhere else, where they appreciate customers.
Original Review: Not all prices are cheaper, we've seen better deals at Walmart, Meijer, Costco etc on many things. Be sure to compare prices before assuming anything.
Many of the heat and eat meals were a good price, cube steaks were 50¢ a pound cheaper than the special price we get locally. The kraft slices were a nice deal, coffee with the coupon etc. Deli meat was the same price as Meijer or Kroger.
The store has a somewhat strange layout when you come in, but its the corner too. The isles are well laid out, most of the employees would smile, some asked if we needed help. Most were great, so that's a plus.
Gas is always cheap, it was 30¢ a gallon lower than Speedway. We filled our Escape from nearly on E for $24.
All in all if you check around, you can save money. We got a great deal on a pressure cooker, the slow cooker, toasters etc were good, so theres deals. Its worth it if you'll shop there frequently. Otherwise it wouldn't be worth...
