Rubio's Coastal Grill — Restaurant in Temecula

Tonight is February 5 at 5 pm. This is unbelievable, I love Rubio's and was a former manager in the past, I was dreading to write a review but I had to get this out because this location has been bad on multiple occasions. it started when I walked in and wasn't greeted, I had to say hello twice to get the managers attention, they he just hands me my bag and walks away, I'm like is everything there, but I was ignored, I decided I didn't care because I had to check everything like always because it is literally never right, which is why i never ever order online here. I asked for 12 green salsas for 3 burritos (which is the online limit) but only got 6, not only that but they were a 1/4 full so I had to redo all my salsa, on top of that they were on top of my chips smashing them and leaking because one wasn't closed all the way. I was actually going to give 2 or 3 stars until I got home and saw my burritos. They were all half the size or less, what happened!! The bean burrito which is $9 or more btw was way smaller than taco bells!! On top of that ,my burrito didn't have any beans!! Nothing was customized on my burrito. This is unacceptable and inexcusable and this was just this visit, I don't think I'm coming back...

I was not planning on stopping in today, but I saw the sign from the road and decided to get one of my favorite tacos, al-a-carte.

The building was very clean, and well taken care of. Window sills, table tops, self-serve drink counter and salsa bar... this crew is on top of it. The employee that took my order was polite and friendly, with a positive attitude, as well as the manager that placed my food on the counter and called my name. Napkins were given in my to-go bag, and I was allowed time to place my salsa cups into the bag before walking out to the car. Come visit this place. I recommend the Fish Taco Especial, and usually opt for the 2 taco plate that comes with beans and rice.... but wasn't too hungry today and got a single taco for $5. If you think it's too much, you haven't tried it. Squeeze of lime, topped with Roasted salsa, and you're ready to go....

The food is generally very tasty at this location of the expansive Rubio's franchise. I really like that the flavors are sophisticated with usually two sauces on the tacos. Plus other tasty elements to compliment the main protein. The Gourmet Grilled Shrimp Taco is especially good. On the other hand, the Original Fish Taco I had yesterday wasn't great because the beer-battered coating was completely soggy. And I ate it within 5 minutes of it arriving on the table so I'm stumped. Maybe serve this with the sauces on the side? I'll probably stick with the grilled selections only in future, especially because they're so good.

The food is not cheap for the quantity you get. Otherwise, the place is very clean and the staff is courteous...
