I came to this Starbucks out of necessity—my Wi-Fi at home went down, and after striking out at a few other local coffee shops and even the public library (none had working internet), this was my last resort. I hadn’t been to a Starbucks in quite a while, but I remembered liking the coffee cake, so I ordered a slice to secure a seat and get some work done.

The staff were polite and the service was quick, which I appreciated. The location itself was clean, and there was no major crowd or rush during the time I was there (roughly 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.). In fact, besides one other woman who was probably also there due to internet issues, the store was pretty empty—especially for midday on a weekday. The drive-thru wasn’t backed up either, which was surprising and made the place feel even quieter in terms of traffic.

However, the music was blaringly loud—so loud that it was difficult to concentrate on my work. I love Whitney as much as the next girl and frequently listen to I Wanna Dance with Somebody on vinyl at home, but as you can see from the video I took, the noise level in the store was extreme. I understand that coffee shops aren't meant to be libraries, but the volume felt excessive and out of place for a setting where people typically come to work, study, or meet. It created an atmosphere that felt more like a place to grab-and-go than one that encourages patrons to stay a while. Honestly, it felt intentional—as if the space was designed to discourage lingering.

All in all, while the staff were friendly and the food was just as I remembered, the experience wasn’t ideal for someone trying to work remotely. The noise level alone would keep me from choosing this location again unless I had no other options. It served its purpose in a pinch, but it’s definitely not...

I have to mentally prepare myself to go to this location , they make you feel like a bother when you ask for your drink to be made correctly. The workers here act like the sweet cream comes out of their check. I live down the street from this location, I am a daily regular(WAS) until all the workers including a manager (a man, black hair with glasses maybe about 25-30) started acting very snarky and rude about me asking for extra sweet cream on the side. Mind you I already order my drink with an extra splash of sweet cream because they for some reason still make it so dark , I can tell right away by the color when I will need more creamer. This is the only location that gives me an attitude and tries to charge me $1.25 for a SPLASH of sweet cream. I’ve learned from other Starbucks location's that if you are asking for extra of something that ALREADY COMES in your drink you do not need to pay for it which MAKES SENSE!! Highly do not recommend this location if you need modifications or a slight xtra. If I were asking for a full cup of something I would definitely understand the charge but not for a splash. Make the drink correctly or don’t complain. I’m paying you for my drink not the other way around. Jackie was one of their best employees! Amazing with kids and adults , haven’t seen her in awhile not sure if she is...

First time at this location; I just got done a bit ago, getting a wax, at European Wax Center, which is just behind this Starbucks. Yummy pumpkin loaf & a Trenta sweet black iced tea, huzzah!!! Inside is like, squished? Or I mean, narrow? There's a GINORMOUS communal table, which makes movement through the store, a bit hard, when there's a line & the merch display, all in the way. I mean, it's not Starbuck's fault, as the strip they're in, is thin/narrow. The baristas are very nice & the treat display is organized & stocked, though I think I got the last pumpkin loaf, meh, lol! So umm, this happens a lot at various locations - the black iced tea sweetness, varies GREATLY, when it's supposed to be consistent, this location is light on the syrup pumps. I can't take stars away, cause I always add Sugar in the Raw, anyway, & this is my first visit, so no comparable data. For my purchase, the ticket was $6.37. When I come back for another wax w/ tech: Sydney, at European Wax Center, I'll order again, for better comparison, on...

During a white elephant, I was given a $5 Starbucks gift card. Normally I do not shop at Starbucks because of their prices however since it was free, I figured I would make an exception. I looked around and realized the only thing on their menu that I truly enjoyed under $5 would be a variety of carbohydrate loaded breakfast treats. After seeing the sign that says all bagels are $1.50, I figured I could order three, one of each. The clerk began to ring them up for a variety of figures between $1.75 and $1.86. I told him what was on my card and then he signed was wrong. He called someone from the back to ask if there are discounts if they have wrong signage. He shook his head no and I continue to ring me up despite their mislabeling. While I only shop at Starbucks 3 to 4 times per year oh, this is certainly one of those unusual circumstances that makes the want to attend alternate shops. To me this just isn't good business when you are surrounded in Tempe by mom-and-pop coffee shops that have better prices and quite honestly do taste better.

Update: I used to come to starbucks all the time for coffee and or water. Recently how ever when I asked for a large water, i was told starbucks has a new policy that water is for paying customers only. I have also since learned that they have a new policy that requires their baristas to write a note on every cup. Because of these new policys, im removing two stars from my review and will now be getting my coffee from dutch bros or the human bean. Its really quite a sad. The staff at this location is great and im sorry they have to deal with these new policies. Old review: This is my prefered Statbucks to visit. The drinks are always made right, the drive through is fast and the people here are super nice. They even leave you little messages on your cups sometimes! Best Starbucks to visit hands down!
