They're "decent" for the price. I usually get the gumbo. Sometimes you may see chunks of skin or fat from the chicken floating or possible you'll see that the grease has separated and sits on top. Spring rolls are weird, wings are okay - salty at times. Crab legs are decent, boiled shrimp doesn't have much flavor.
Yesterday I order about 60 dollars worth of food. I get home and discover there's a piece of blue paper in my gumbo. I immediately call the restaurant to let them know. I go back to the restaurant, Nancy then has to verify I have paper in my food to show the people in the kitchen. Long story short... I asked for the boudain links instead. Once I get those, I asked Nancy could I get the difference of the two (Gumbo is higher that the boudain). She initially says I can't do that but I can give you 15% off your next order. I decline. She offers a full refund and I said that's fine and tell her she can take the boudain links back. Only to discover roughly 15 to 20 minutes after that if you order online, they can't issue a refund. (And somehow she was confused on what I wanted refunded) I now have to call a 3rd party to cancel the transaction, who then has to call the restaurant to confirm it should be canceled or refunded. Over a hour in this establishment and still no resolution. I still have no refund! I don't even understand why was there such an issue refunding MY money when you had paper in my food.    Read moreCUSTOMER SERVICE WAS AWFUL AND RUDE! I had a taste for some fried rice so I ordered some food from there but when I got the food it was something I did not want or ask for. I tried calling to let them know but they were closed so I had to wait the next following day. The next day I called to let them know and whoever I spoke with said I had to have the food on hand or theyâll give me a 15% discount towards my next order. I told her I didnât have the food on hand then got off the phone with her. I called her again because I realized I did have the food. When I told her that she told me I had to have the food how it was prepared. I asked her why didnât she state that before when I talked to her the first two time and if there was a manager I could talk to. She told me she was the manager đ (not sure how true that is or if I believe her). All I really wanted was a replacement and I wouldâve been ok with that. Ordered a pound of peeled shrimp . Kaboom and spicy as the flavors . The order was placed around 8:15-8:30ish pm . When the order was picked up and brought home it was obvious that the shrimp had neither of the two flavors I asked for !
I was so upset ! I was looking forward to the meal and I work hard for my money ! I was looking forward to relaxing and enjoying my food . After I called back but they stopped picking up the phone because they closed at 9pm.
So over the next two days . I tried speaking with management and higher management . They only offered me 15% off of my next purchase !!
Thatâs not ish, compared to the disappointment is caused me that night !!!!!! True customer service would have been to make the food properly and when it wasnât done properly they should have offered reimbursement or a remake for free on their behalf .
I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN ! Theyâve lost a customer and I will be warning all my friends and family...
