We eat at Emelia's about 3-4 times a month and we love what the menu has to offer. They have great breakfast items and probably some of the best quality street style tacos in the area.

We considered Emelia's for catering our graduation party that we were hosting...BEST DECISION EVER!

Service/Price – The crew who runs Emelia's are obviously pro's when it comes to catering orders. They discussed all the details of the different food options (dishes with sides and toppings). You can place your order 2-3 days before your event which was helpful since we waited as long as possible for the straggling RSVP’s. We opted to just pick up the order and self-serve (saved a little money this way). We were blown away at how well everything was packaged...made setting up super easy. After shopping around for food, we realized that Emelia’s had VERY reasonable pricing. We definitely felt like we got our money’s worth!

Food/Quality – Fresh and delicious! We ordered both fajita plates and street taco plates. The fajitas were so good. We decided to do combo fajitas. The meat was flavorful and tender. One thing we really like about Emelia’s is the quality of the tortilla’s they use. Flour tortillas were provided for fajitas and were VERY fresh. There were plenty of toppings…very impressed with the fajita plates. The street taco plates were equally delicious and quality was on point. We went brisket, chicken, and pastor. Our guests were very pleased with the lineup of tacos. Generous portions of onion and cilantro were provided. The tacos were definitely a huge hit. We got a ton of rice and beans! We ordered extra plates which in hindsight wasn’t necessary because the portions were very generous. Everything was hot and fresh as if you were dining in.

Overall we were very pleased with our catering experience. We will definitely consider using them in the future and I highly recommend their food/service to anyone else that’s looking for a tasty tex-mex experience. It will be really hard to find something that beats what they have to offer and it pairs great with beers and...

I recently visited Emelia's Tex Mex & Taqueria at Main and 121 and had a decent experience overall. The chips and queso were a bit of a disappointment, as the queso was basic and bland, lacking in flavor. To make the queso better, I suggest incorporating more spices and seasonings, or maybe even adding some diced jalapenos or other toppings for extra flavor and texture.

The cheese enchiladas, on the other hand, were very good. They were filled with real cheese and onions, which made for a delicious combination. The picante queso on top was the same queso as before, but spiced up a bit, which was a nice touch. I would have preferred to have this queso with my chips, rather than the bland version I received, but I still enjoyed the enchiladas.

Service at Emelia's was good, with the server being very friendly. However, it was a bit odd that no one was ever at the front when I came in. The server appeared shortly after I ordered, but then disappeared to the back, which was a bit disorienting.

The rice and beans were very standard, with not much to write home about. Overall, I would give Emelia's Tex Mex & Taqueria a 4 out of 5 star rating. While there were a few hiccups with the food and service, the cheese enchiladas and friendly server...

Great service upon entry, and good welcoming atmosphere! Ordered food at the register, and the people working here are exceptional workers, with good customer service! Stopped here for lunch with my worker brothers, and we ate our food and drank our sodas to our hearts’ content! The only downside of this place is that there is only one bathroom out of the entire place, and it is wayyyyy in the back! Mind you, it looked like they kept it immaculately well-clean and stocked with immediate needs of both employees and customers. I ordered their Emelia’s Mexican Burger, which was sooooo nice! Came with some spicy sauce, eggs, bacon, beef patties, and more, I was having way too much fun enjoying it to remember it all, just chomp chomp and chatting with work brothers! If we hadn’t had to eat so quickly and set off, I would have stayed a bit longer to enjoy it slower!

The food can be a little pricey, but you DEFINITELY get what you pay for! And it KEEPS YOU feeling full for hours! Great for a long shift in the hot sun, or when you’re just driving home after working all morning! Thank you, again, ladies who served us and took care of us from entry to leaving! I hope y’all had a wonderful rest of your...

This place used to be good, but the last few times that I have gone has not been the best. I usually get the enchiladas but on my last visit I decided to try the street tacos on flour tortillas. The total came out to be more than I expected, and when I looked at my receipt I saw a there was charge $3.54 for flour tortillas. That’s about a $1.18 upcharge for each taco. This was never told to me when I ordered. Otherwise I wouldn’t have gotten them because that is ridiculous! Out of all of the taquerias that I have been to I have never been charged more for flour tortillas. I asked the cashier about the charge and she suggested I talk to the manager. Upon speaking to him he tells me that they charge more for flour tacos because they are much bigger and have more meat. He said the flour tortillas were 16 inches which I thought sounded off because that is huge. I just thought that maybe he had the size wrong but still trusted when he said they were much bigger. So I get home and open up the boxes and lo and behold. The corn and flour tortillas are the same size! To make matters worse the meat was super salty and didnt taste freshly made. Not sure if I will be back after that.

We got food to go from here last night. It was our first time trying their food. We passed up many other great Mexican food places for this one, and were left regretting it. There’s no way this place is a 4.6 rating. The food was disappointing and the service wasn’t great either according to my husband. I got the carne asada plate. Asked for the meat to be cooked medium rare and it came out overcooked and hard to chew. I wasn’t even able to eat it. So money wasted. I don’t understand how it can be so hard to mess up a medium rare carne asada. However, the rice and beans were AMAZING. My husband ordered chicken fajita quesadilla. He asked them if they could add shrimp to them and they told him they have shrimp but they couldn’t add it to the quesadilla. WHAT!? I have never had a place deny a potential upsell. And the quesadillas were so tiny I thought he had ordered off of a kids menu. My husband also got the one pound burrito. He did really like that. It was stuffed full which we appreciated. Based on our experience last night, we will NOT be returning and will stick with our usual places. I really had high hopes for this place.

Hole in the wall Mexican restaurant. Good food. Decent prices. Establishment was clean and the staff were curteous. The food was delicious and definitely not Tex-Mex, but more on the authentic side. The establishment was busy from the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out: Non stop customers. With that being said, seating is limited. So if you have a large party, that could be an issue. We had the carne asada, fajita street tacos, and chicken quesadillas. The drinks are bought one can/bottle at a time so make sure to get two if you are the thirsty type so you don't have to wait in line to order another one. With all that being said, we will definitely be back to try different menu options. Would have given 5 stars, but the dish I originally ordered was out so i had to find something different to order. Ps. The beans are. . . amazing and as authentic as they can get.
