This was my first experience here and it was quite dismal. I had always wanted to try this restaurant, and this time I suggested to my friends we go here today - a grand mistake. From the time we entered to the time we got our food was a whopping hour and a half! It took 20 minutes to be seated, and another 15 minutes before anyone even asked us about our drinks. Even when we first entered the restaurant, the greeter looked up at us, and went back to what she was doing - no hello or anything regarding our seating or welcoming. After getting our drinks, we waited another 15 minutes before anyone asks us what we wanted to eat or who wanted an appetizer, which then took at least another 30 minutes to actually retrieve our food. Our immediate server was very nice, but we had another server, who I guess was helping him, who was very rude, impatient, and obviously irritated. Apparently, we were never given silverware or chopsticks, and he was frustrated that we never got this, and was very short with us whenever we were asking for things that we should have already had. I understand he was upset because perhaps someone else didn't do their job, but I fail to see how that is our issue. When we finally did get our food, this was the greatest disappointment. We ordered the chang spicy chicken and fried rice. This entree with the rice cost about $24 and was incredibly greasy and wasn't even hot! The chicken and the rice were both warm, and the rice was crunchy! This strongly indicates that the food was previously frozen, was not fresh, and the rice was not cooked correctly- perhaps even sitting out for an extended period of time. The flavor was nothing to brag about as well. I could have easily spent the same amount of money on this one entree at Panda express, and could have fed everyone to satisfaction and contentment for a better price and value. The restaurant decor was nice, and the restrooms were clean. Though none of this can satisfy the abysmal service and food experienced here. This all was very unfortunate, as me and my friend were anxious to try this restaurant. I think I'm quite generous with my restaurant reviews, but there was nothing saving what I experienced here. The only thing that saves this from being a one star, was our immediate server, who was very kind and attentive when giving me a refill of water. Otherwise, our other server, who was helping I guess, was irritated and very unwelcoming, as the rest of the restaurant was. If you are looking for a nice family experience of Chinese food or , you are better off trying Panda Express-you will get better service, better food, and greater value. Unless you want cheap quality, overpriced food, by all means give this place a try. I've had greater experiences with frozen Chinese TV dinners...
Read moreLast night, we had been to this place for dinner and it was a party of 9. The server was courteous, service was left much to be desired. The appetizers were good, entrees not so much. After my experience, I am not sure if this location follows any standards at handling food safely. One of these days, I won't be surprised if it gets shut down for food safey concerns.
We wanted to order a bottle of sake for the table and were told it initially, it is served by the glass. After we pointed out that you have put a price by the bottle that the server agreed to get us a bottle..
We orders appetizers, entrees that we planned to share. There was no silverware, napkins for anyone for the table and nothing that could be used to share and the server left after placing the appetizers on the table . We waited for about 5-10 minutees had to flag a manager to get silverware and that when the server came back with a silverware and mentioned, she was folding them in the back. I am not expecting them serve but providing atlease some spoons or forks to pick food from a plate is the least that can be done from a service standpoint particularly when you are charging the customer and asking them to pay gratuity. I can understand timing being an issue the first time but for it happen again when the entrees are served is a big miss.
The fried rice that we had order was not cooked properly, you could taste the raw grain when you chewed. The chicken was over cooked and felt like rubber. We brought this to the notice of the server and asked for the manager. He came over to listen to the complain and picked a sample by putting this hand in the rice that was served to take it back to the cook. Isn't hygiene a critical factor at a restaurant and I dont know where those hands have been before touching someone food.
@PFChang : You used to have decent service earlier but now it has gone down the drain. I have a simple question is this something you train your managers and employees to do, where you ask them to put their hands in the food that is served to the customer right in front of the customer. If this is your training guideline, then good luck and I pray anyone who dines at your outlet doesn't fall sick.
If you are in Grandscape, I would not recommend this place for anyone unless you enjoy partially cooked food, a manager who puts his hands in the food on the customer's table when they complain and server who doesn't know bottle v. glass and no service but expects you to pay gratuity for the service. I wish Google had a zero star option and I would have given that rating to...
Read moreI recently visited P.F. Chang’s at Grandscape in The Colony and had a wonderful dining experience. The ambiance of the restaurant is modern, stylish, and perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. I started my meal with their famous Dynamite Shrimp, and it completely lived up to the hype—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with a kick of spice. For my entrée, I tried the Pepper Chicken, which had a bold and spicy flavor profile that really stood out. The chicken was tender, the sauce had depth, and the heat was just enough to satisfy spice lovers without being overwhelming. I also got to try their Chef’s Feast dinner menu, which is a fantastic deal for a full 3-course meal. The soup and salad options were fresh and light, making a nice start before the main entrée. The appetizer selections like crispy green beans and lettuce wraps are highly recommended and great for sharing. Among the premium entrées, I would suggest trying the Crispy Honey Shrimp and the Mongolian Beef, which are both customer favorites. If you like noodles, the Signature Lo Mein and Pad Thai looked like great choices from the menu. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and quick to recommend dishes based on our preferences. The portion sizes were generous, making it perfect for family-style sharing. The non-alcoholic refreshers like the Strawberry Cucumber Limeade and Peach Boba Breeze are refreshing alternatives to cocktails. For those who enjoy cocktails, the Rising Dragon Margarita and Cherry Blossom Martini sounded very tempting. The restaurant also offers several vegetarian options such as Buddha’s Feast and Ma Po Tofu, which makes it inclusive for different dietary needs. I appreciated that they clearly mark gluten-free options on the menu. The plating and presentation of each dish were elegant, adding to the overall dining experience. The location at Grandscape is lively, and the restaurant fits in well with the vibrant atmosphere of the area. Overall, P.F. Chang’s delivered a perfect mix of bold Asian flavors, attentive service, and a comfortable dining environment. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for flavorful Asian cuisine...
