I am so sad to make this rating, I really am. We all remember the days of Pizza Hut. But sadly, those days are simply gone. We’ve tried to give Pizza Hut a try over the past few years and never done anything but truly and utterly regretted it. This time, though, was the absolute worst.
It begins with the horror of their app. First of all - it’s simply terrible at its very best. You’re supposed to be able to “track your order” - yeah, track it as it spins into oblivion and then disappears into a black hole. And good luck chatting with someone about it. After having to be logged into the app to even begin a “live” chat - they demand every single possible piece of information humanly possible. No, I’m not exaggerating - they ask for the usual info (frustrating considering I am LOGGED INTO THE APP I ORDERED FROM) but yeah, sure ok - I’ll oblige. Then they ask for information like the order number, exact amount of the order - and here’s where the real problem arises, you can’t back out of the chat to retrieve this unnecessary information without losing the chat. Big win Pizza Hut - wear your frustrated and hungry customer out so they won’t continue to complain about the $48 worth of inedible pizza that still hasn’t arrived. Makes sense I guess. Once I finally got the info - got back on a chat with a new person - went through all that unnecessary pandering only to have them tell me someone would reach out in 2-3 days. WHERE IS MY PIZZA??? The app showed it was still being prepared an hour after the order was placed and a half hour after the app still showed it to be delivered.
Finally I called the number for the store - got a call center (like what???) then finally, after waiting on hold and being hung up on twice, I end up with a “manager” from the store. The music and background noise made it next to impossible to even hear her. But I someone got it through to her that now the app showed my pizza delivered and it was nowhere to be found. Then it got even stranger - she tells me that while the app says it’s been delivered, it hasn’t. Finally, we’re on the same page. She then asks for my address and apt number for the “guy” to drop it off. I cannot make this stuff up.
I finally get a random text from some guy (mind you - I added a tip to this order on the app) and have to walk around our complex to retrieve our dry, cold, disgusting order from a random guy with an Uber Eats bag from pre-COVID era.
Then the next day - after sending a ranting email I get this sad email offering another trip down pizza nightmare lane via a “free large pizza” - yeah, thanks for playing but the jokes over, Pizza Hut. I should have taken photos but i simply wanted to whole...

Tonight, my family is a little under the weather and I picked pizza Hut specifically because they have the little "personal pizza" boxes I could get for my kids.
Pros: The pizza wasn't terrible, it was adequately cooked and tasted fine. The French fries could've stood another 30 seconds / 1 minute in the fryer, but that may just be me.
They've finally updated the app since the last time I ordered from them. The old app was abysmally outdated and difficult to use, if it worked at all.
Cons: Hooooo boy.
Even though the app is updated, it's still just.. laggy / sluggish, and not great.
The app stated that my order was delivered at 5:37PM; Completely false!!
I thought we had somehow missed the knock and went to check.. did they just leave it at the door maybe? Nope. Nothing there. Ok so they must have delivered to the wrong place. Annoying for sure, but I call the store.
After ten minutes of waiting without ever even speaking to someone, I had my kids get their shoes on so we could head up there, all the while still on hold.
13 minutes into the call and the delivery guy pulls up, literally as we were about to get in the truck.
See the timestamps on my pictures. 13+ minute call that was never answered. Delivery time that was nearly 20 minutes off from actual delivery time. And a panicked dad thinking dinner was gonna be late tonight.
Really unprofessional. Won't be using them again, anywhere. Pizza hut has had it's day. Time for it to go the route of blockbuster and 8-track. Too many other chains that just get it right and get it done consistently for comparable or even lower price points to mess with this ever again.
EDIT: If you're reading this and wanting pizza, pick the local Domino's! They've been consistently awesome every time I've used them. If you don't like dominos, there is a Marcos, little Caesars, and Papa johns in the SAME STRIP, on the other side of 45 (still on 242 - opposite of HEB) from where this...
Read moreHorrible!!! We ordered dinner on 4/20 knowing it would probably be busy. We ordered two large pizzas, pasta and some garlic knots. After 2 hours of not receiving our food I called the store and was transferred directly to the manager and he told me it’s out for delivery and any order placed after 8pm online the time is a lie, he actually said that!! Whatever. It showed up a few minutes later. Called the store back because we received garlic bread sticks which didn’t have any garlic on it so it was just a slice of bread with no marina. The manager very rudely told me that they had ran out of garlic knots so they gave us “extra” sticks (no extra anything). I told him I would’ve rather had the store call me and cancel the knots considering we don’t like sticks the manager popped an attitude “do you think if I had the time to call you cause I would’ve but I obviously didn’t have the time”. Contacted corporate got a credit for the whole order (thank you corporate for handling it). Called again last night to repeat the order and our order was $20 more than our credit!!! I spoke with 3 people and nobody could look up my previous order nor could they comprehend me telling them the order. The manager decided to “just take care of it”. Again, it took a long time to get our food. The delivery driver could not find our apartment... which we have the easiest apartments to navigate and we are the first door, the driver refused to continue driving around the complex looking for us so we had to go to him!!!!!! Then... once again, we did not receive our garlic knots! We didn’t even get a separate order of sticks this time, they gave us the “family pasta” which included a half order of sticks 🙄 we only ordered again because we had a credit but now we will definitely be...
