While I cannot comment on the food and beverages, I will say that the overall service at C&P is utterly abysmal.
We arrived around 4:20p today (8/10). Asked an outdoor staff member if we could sit at a certain table and he told us it was fine. After sitting for nearly 30 minutes, we still had not been approached by a server, even after my husband went inside and asked if we were to wait for a server, or should order inside. Whoever he spoke to apologized for our wait and said he’d send a server over. While continuing to wait for a server, a female server came outside and started roping off the area that we were sitting in. She then put up a sign that said “Reserved.” She walked away without saying a word to us.
Finally, another server came around (not to actually help us, but he was bussing a table) and we asked if he could take our order or get a server because we’d been waiting for 40 mins for someone to come over. He reluctantly said he could help us, and when we asked if they had food menus, he said yes and he’d go get them for us after taking our drink order. While he was talking to us, the same female server who’d roped us off earlier came out and spoke directly to the server (NOT US) and said, “we’re not serving in this area anymore.” Rather than directly addressing us, the other server then told us we had to move tables because they weren’t serving in that area due to an event that was taking place later.
We moved tables after trying to figure out where we could sit, and the server told us he’d send someone over. After sitting for ANOTHER 15 minutes waiting for someone to come over to us, we gave up and left. In addition, the table we sat at and the surrounding tables were all dirty and needed wiped down, so there weren’t any clean tables to sit at.
I don’t know how this place will stay in business, considering how god awful the overall service is. In addition to that, we’ve tried to make pickleball court reservations multiple times since they opened and there are literally NEVER any opening slots. We will not return or recommend this place to others, and I highly recommend that management get on top of the terrible service that’s...
Read moreWe dropped by for Sunday dinner to try out the new fare in town. It is a very large facility that is very well kept and has lots of room. We were excited to try the food after viewing the menu online. At about 5:30pm on Sunday the facility is lively, but decidedly not busy.
Visiting with friends, 4 in total, we bellied up to the order counter and made our orders. The Mrs. and I ordered a Pickled Chicken with rice and NKC Hot Chicken with fries plus fountain drinks we filled with quite good iced tea.
We headed to the indoor Pickleball courts to find a seat and wait for our food. Our friends who ordered just after us got their food pretty quickly and we encouraged them to start while it was hot. Time kept ticking away and our food wasn't showing up. I flagged down one of the staff members walking by and asked if he could check on our order. He was back in about 10 minutes with our food.
Unfortunately our sandwiches were tepid at best and the sides stone cold. I found the NKC Hot Chicken to be quite tasty and I'm sure it would have been much better if it wasn't sitting under a heat lamp somewhere. My fries were cold and limp. My wife found the Pickled Chicken to be underwhelming and the chicken breast to be overcooked and dried out. The rice was cold and had some hard/dried bits in it.
Since our friends were already done eating, we decided not to send our food back. I asked how their food was and it was also not very hot, but it was warm, though their fries were also limp.
Total bill was $40 for 2 sandwiches and 2 non alcoholic drinks before tip (and believe me, they are pushing for tips).
Overall, the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff saved the visit and we'll give them another try. The kitchen execution is terrible and when you're asking over $15 for a basic chicken sandwich with a side, you need to do better.
Final notes: 2nd story/Deck are 21+ and they lower the music volume up there quite a bit. If you want to be able to talk at the table, make sure you go...
Read moreI wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt considering they just opened and I was looking forward to another option in the area but I can’t. I think they needed to hire bodies for the opening and didn’t consider experience.
We went at 3:45 pm today. It was slow, still seemed really organized.
Food ordering: Modifications for allergies are really difficult for both the staff and the guest. My husband asked for a modification to his sandwich and it was really hard for them to remove an item from the order. He had to completely change his order to remove one item - avocado. I will say the team member did what he could to help (and he was great), but the POS didn’t have a lot of options to support.
Food quality: My chicken was not cooked through. For an establishment to have chicken in the restaurant name, you have to do better. The table next to us also complained and requested a refund, wish I would have done that.
Bar/Drinks: This area needs a lot of work. The first bartender clearly had no idea what she was doing. We ordered a Coors Light on draft and a sangria. We waited about 10 minutes for one drink and beer. Our food came out before our drinks were ready.
Went back to the bar for another round after we ate, I was carded after already ordering the first round and not being carded. Annoying but respect that the second bartended did his due diligence to ask for ID. Requested to close my tab, pen didn’t work and the second bartender attempting to make a joke that it wasn’t working because I’m left handed.
Other staff working in this area - don’t talk about previous guests in the presence of other guests. My husband overheard disparaging comments about guests that had just left in conversation with two of the staff.
In closing, this is one of the worst dining experiences we have had in quite awhile. I hope these comments are constructive and help management focus on making the entire...
