We keep trying Bubbas because it’s close to home;unfortunately, they consistently give us a horrible experience every other time we are there. From wrong food to poor service. Last night, we were seated quickly, then completely ignored for about 15 minutes. The trainer noticed and said she’d get our server right away. About 5 minutes after that, the same trainer took our drink and food orders. Our waitress came and apologized-said she was very busy (not from what we saw) we could see our drinks on the bar for a good 5 minutes-then another server brought them to us. I believe our server was too young to serve alcohol-but why would you schedule her on a busy Sunday night at a sports bar when 3 major games are being played? She came back again and pushed drinks-we declined. A completely different person brought out our food after a 30 minute wait-everything was cold. It was apparent that it sat in the window for quite a while. Our waitress came back again and asked how everything was-we told her it was all cold, and asked for a manager. Watched the manager come out and chat with people at the bar then make her way over to us. I shared our whole experience and she apologized. She said she would talk to the kitchen. I asked what she was going to do for us-she comped our food bill. I explained to her our history of bad experiences every other visit. She apologized profusely asked what she could bring us. (Heads up to restaurant managers-no one wants more food at this point-we just want to leave). I asked for a box, she then disappeared. We called our waitress over and explained that her manager had comped our meal (she said “okay” with just a little more attitude than necessary) and asked when the bill would be adjusted. She said “I don’t know” so I asked her to find out. Manager reappeared comped our food bill, gave us a voucher for our next visit. We told her that this was not a kitchen problem but a server problem (second heads up to managers-don't blame your kitchen staff when they have done their job-the three of us have worked food service and this is a BS excuse) she told us her boss was at something that sounded like a restaurant conference-not sure what that had to do with anything that happened to us. We are uncertain we will even return to use the voucher...
Read moreI stumbled across this place with my family. We were excited to try it because my daughter calls her brother "Bubba" When we got there it was very busy. The hostesses were efficient quoting us at 20 minutes. We were seated in 10. Our "waitresses" ((yes...we had 2 for some reason...)) is where the experience went downhill. The music is very loud so they had to yell at us for any hope at hearing them. We ordered at 9pm. At 940 I couldn't take it and asked for a manager. I was greeted by the same girl who sat me. She went right in the kitchen and within minutes our food came. Fine. But now my food is made wrong and there is no waitress in sight. Another gentleman showed up and said he would have it remade...I couldn't possibly wait any longer so I told him forget it I'll just eat it. He left. At this point noone else comes back. We needed refills all around. I look around for one of our 2 waitresses and they are behind me....talking and sorting tips. Right in the dining room. My husband got up to find the manager again and they must have noticed because at that point we got refills. Then the same gentleman I mentioned earlier showed up with my entire meal remade. Now as nice as that was at this point it was kind of a waste because he also presented me with a coupon for a free burger. So above and beyond on the correction of a mistake. I still don't know what took 40 minutes in the first place. Being as I have worked in the industry for 25 years I can only imagine it wasn't rang in right away. So overall I give this restaurant 5 stars for food and management. 1 star on...
Read moreBubbas was an overall good experience. Our waitress was nice and did a great job. She was always there for refills and anything else we needed.
We ordered the twisted mozzarella sticks for an appetizer. The sticks itself were pretty good. We all agreed that the marinara left a weird aftertaste, though. I ordered The Buffalo sandwich and chose hot for my sauce. It was great. I added mayo to mine with a side of ranch. The heat on the hot was perfect. I would order the sandwich again for sure. My wife ordered the boneless wings. They were good as well. Tender with a good taste. She likes hers plain with sauces on the side. She tried hot, garlic parm, and bbq. She liked the hot and the bbq. The bbq had a smokey taste, which was good as well. The garlic parm looked more like a paste than a sauce. It's almost like a thick butter. Wasn't a big fan of the garlic parm. Our kid ordered the kids' cheese pizza. For a kids' portion, the size was huge. Unfortunately, he was not a fan. He only had a few bites. My wife and I tried it as well. Maybe it was just us, but we agreed with our kid, and the pizza wasn't the best. The sauce was bland, and there just wasn't much taste to the pizza at all. We also order fries with our meals. The fries were perfect. They had a great taste and we all enjoyed them. They have different types of fries, and we ordered the seasoned fries.
We would go back to Bubbas again for sure. Myself, I'd go back just to have the chicken sandwich again. If you are in the area, I would recommend giving this...
