I wrote an email to the company and am posting it here.
On July 27, I went to your Cricket West location to order lunch. I am a regular customer and like the food, however, I find it difficult to get the items I want (meat grape leaves) because half of the time you don’t have any. Also, your store hours are not customer friendly and kind of send the message that “we don’t really care if we get your business because we close before most of you even get off of work.” I understand shorter hours during COVID but that’s not an issue anymore.
Last Thursday, there were five people in front of me and I waited 15 minutes just to have my order taken. After my order was taken I waited fifteen minutes before asking how much longer it would be and was told it would not be much longer. Five minutes later I checked again because there were several to-go orders sitting on the counter. None of them were mine so one of the girls checked with the kitchen and without even looking at me, said that it was still not ready and acted as if I was annoying her. There were several people standing around the restaurant and were getting irritated because it was taking so long and they needed to get back to work. A lady standing next to me said she was afraid that she would have to get a refund because she couldn’t wait much longer. Thirty minutes after my order was taken and 45 minutes after I arrived, I went I up to the counter and there were 2 girls standing there. I told them that I want my food or I want my $28 dollars back. They both just stared at me and when another customer came to the counter they both immediately turned to this lady and ignored me completely. So, I had to repeat my question again. Finally, one of them checked with the kitchen and said they would just refund my money because “they were in the process of making new grape leaves!” This process, if done properly, takes way more time than what a customer should be asked to wait. So, I spent 45 minutes waiting around for grape leaves and no one thought it was necessary to tell me you didn’t have any to begin with! I would have been less angry if someone told me when I ordered OR when I was repeatedly checking the status of my order that there weren’t any! And if I hadn’t asked for my money back I would have continued to wait and would have gotten chewy, half-cooked grape leaves like I did the last time that I had to go home and finish cooking myself. It is a shame that the food is good because the service and the hours of operation are so bad that eventually people will become tired of it. Especially since Beirut is just around the corner and just as good. After I left, I called the Perrysburg location to make a complaint but of course, the recording said that they were too busy and to go online to order or call back another time! Again, the message-“we don’t care about...
Read moreThe BEST salads in all of Toledo! We love the junk salad and the apricot salad. They also have really delicious seasonal salads.
Wraps are delicious. Be sure to order your wrap “Zingos” style, which means they grill it crispy on both sides.
They have two locations - one in Toledo’s Cricket West shopping center, and the other in downtown old Perrysburg.
The fresh pressed juices are also pretty good. I like “Bright Eyes” - it has carrot and some fresh citrus juices which help balance it out.
They have gotten pricey over the years with the average salad between $12-$14, so we reserve it as a special treat.
Water is free. They have fountain sodas. They also offer smoothies and coffee drinks (I’ve never had those so I can’t speak to their quality).
Staff is also super friendly and lovely. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a delicious, fresh, and pretty healthy bite. A gem...
Read moreI have ALWAYS loved Zingo’s. In fact I would drive to their Perryburg location. I have had two staff meeting here and my husband is a coach at UT and I recommend the team add Zingos to their locally owned business around Toledo next season for catering. We live in Old Orchard so it was a favorite until today. I order a soup. Needless to say it wasn’t what I expected so I asked if I could swamp it out. I was told no, and if I wanted something different I would need to pay for it. Remind you, I ordered a $10 soup. So no refund, no exchanges and they didn’t give me the soup I paid for back. Needless to say, I will no longer be recommending or going back to Zingos due their lack of customer service. I’m very unhappy with...
