Park-Lane Tobacconist is located in an upscale shopping center and may be hard to find if you donāt drive or walk along the front of the stores. It has everything you would want from a traditional tobacconist from bulk pipe tobacco blends, some their own, to tinned tobacco ā there are about a dozen tinned Brebbia tobaccos as well as Peterson and Dunhill tobaccos. They have lighters, a basket of Estate pipes, tobacco pouches, pipe tools, back issues of cigar magazines, etc. There is a seating area where you can smoke for awhile and a climate controlled cigar room. The staff was very helpful and I came away with a couple of bulk blends, a nice butane lighter, and a box/pouch of what looks to be the new rendition of Carter Hall tobacco. They have higher priced briar pipes as well as less expensive ones and corn cobs. I was able to find my first Kaywoodie pipe for a good price. If you are a cigar or tobacco pipe smoker itās well worth the time and distance to stop by and look around. Oh, and if you need empty wooden or paper board cigar boxes they have plenty of those. :) ā...

A week has passed since I wrote an apologetic email and days have passed since I sent a text to the person I thought I was friends with. This isn't how you conduct business with people. Not only will I not be back, But I will be making my own cavendish tobacco and will likely offer it for sale in my store that I have opened online and once the pandemic is over and I have a brick and mortar, I will vehemently compete with this store. I tried to be a friend and associate, but that bridge has...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePros: Great location, lovely lounge, friendly atmosphere.
Cons: limited selection despite large walk-in humidor (no Davidoff, Liga Privada, OpusX, etc.), high pricing relative to other Capital District shops (I paid something like $33 for a Padron 1926 which would go for mid-$20s elsewhere), and they charge for full lounge access ($5 day pass) unless you are a paid member. Again, this is a departure from other local shops where lounge access is included and encouraged, particularly with a purchase!
I'd go back if I needed to kill time in Clifton Park, but I'd definitely bring my own cigar and just buy the day pass...
