We were so excited to eat here and try out a new place! Due to covid, we decided to order our food online and take it home. The website told us to come pick it up in 40 minutes and we got there probably 5 minutes past that time. Working in food service myself, I understand that sometimes things don’t go according to plan and food can take awhile to make. However, I firmly believe that they only started making our food when we arrived - not any sooner. We waited for our order for 30 minutes, along with a crowd of others doing the same, before overhearing a hostess telling another that their order would “take a really long time.” We ended up getting our food 45 minutes past the original time it was supposed to be ready. I am always very lenient with restaurants but this was ridiculous. Not once did someone come out and tell us that our food would take longer than expected. Not once did a manager come out to the many waiting, angry faces and apologize for the wait. Not once were we offered something in return for our wait - an extra bag of chips, a partial refund, a coupon - nothing. We were ignored by much of the staff and the worst part was the food was not even worth the wait. It seems as though they threw together our food just to get us out and forgot many key ingredients. Additionally, as we stood there waiting, I also was able to notice that the restaurant did not seem to be following many Covid guidelines. Families, at first, were being sat at tables 6 feet apart. However, as time went on and more families came in, this quickly faltered. Families were sitting at tables directly next to each other. Overall, I am really saddened by this experience as I was hoping to find a new favorite place. Save yourself the extensive wait and money and just go to La Fiesta...

My first experience with Mexican Street Corn, and it won't be the last!

Been quite sometime since I had a hankering for some Mexican cuisine, but seeing Sabor Azteca on my trips through Clifton park I was curious enough that I began to check out their menu online.

Ended up going with an order of the House Chimichangas and the Elotes Preparados (Mexican Street Corn), coming to around $34 total for everything which included a bag of chips and salsa. Not too shabby.

Once home, which even with the 45 minute drive there, everything was still perfectly warm. I immediately tried the corn and was very surprised at how good it was, like corn on the cob but way better. The blend of flavors, cheesy, sweet, and tart, really had quite the punch. This might be the only way I eat corn on the cob going forward.

The Chimichangas weren't anything to skimp over either, being stuffed to the brim with shredded chicken (my choice), a generous helping of ranchero sauce and cheese, and they got my requests to swap out the included tomatoes with onion and the guac dip with a bean and cheese dip which went fantastically with the chips. The Mexican rice was tender and very flavorful, and when mixed together with the shredded lettuce and some of the sauce from the Chimichangas; made for a delicious salad.

The only "negative" thing I could say about my whole experience was arriving at 4:00PM to pickup, I found my order was still not ready and I had to wait an additional 7 minutes. Not a big deal, especially given how awesome it came out, but something to be aware of that you might have to wait a tad bit longer than the ETA. But if it means hotter food, I'll take the wait.

A big thumbs up from me, recommended to anyone wanting some yummy...

I've been wanting to try this place but never got around to it. We always go to LaFiesta but it's so loud in there and the same dish that used to be $14 jumped to $22 and they renamed it. We went to Sabor Azteca instead. When we walked in, there was a host at the door who ignored us and just kept his face in his phone. We observed 4 waitresses chatting at the bar and the restaurant was pretty empty, so we turned around and went back to our vehicle. My husband asked me if I looked at the Google reviews and I didn't so we pulled it up on my phone and the reviews were decent so we went back in. We obviously were seated right away since the place was almost completely empty. They promptly brought a basket of chips with salsa and glasses of water. The chips were very thick, flavorless and unsalted. The salsa was brown and had no taste. We ordered the "Burrito Mexicana" for $18.99. When it arrived, about 2 minutes after we ordered it, the waitress plunked the dishes in front of us. It was a big plate with a burrito in the middle with a little bit of cheese sauce on top. There was no "presentation" to the dinner plate at all. For Pete's sake, put a sprig of cilantro or something on the plate for color. The burrito was good but the place was just not to my liking. The bill came to $40 and change for two burritos plopped on a plate. She placed the bill on our table and didn't come back for it. After 10 minutes of me getting more and more aggravated, my husband grabbed the bill and asked one of the random waitresses if she could take our payment so that we could leave. I could have gone to Moe's or Chipotle for half the price and gotten the same burrito. We tried it, didn't like it,...

First, there is new management so if you haven't been in the past year and a half, it's a whole new experience to have, so go, quickly 👍 Took me three days to get out of the euphoria this INCREDIBLY AMAZING Mexican restaurant left me in. Couldn't find words to describe our experience there, and all we can say is. WoW. From our first interaction with a staff, we felt warmly welcomed and valued as a customer who hadn't even been seated or ordered food yet. The greeting, the warm welcome, and the resounding assurance from the manager (forgot to get his name) that our first time there would be simply be amazingly mindblowing, and boy, he wasn't lying. The ambiance and decor are all of Mexico's heart and spirit in all its grandeur and culture. As we sat, we couldn't help but gaze at the awesomeness of the place and how much thought and passion was put into decorations. Trish, our waiter (shout out to You) was just amazing, and took time to talk with us about menu and drink choices to make sure we got what would be best for our appetite and mood. The food portions were more than we expected and had to take home leftovers after being so filled with sensual deliciousness of choices 😋 The whole experience was just mind-blowing, fulfilling, warm, and utterly beautiful. This is now our number one Mexican restaurant and there's no other like it. We will be back often. Big shout out and Thank You to the new management for stepping up the restaurant game 👌👏🫶 Highly recommend this a thousand times as a great place to eat and enjoy with small or large company of people. Tell them I sent You 🤩

Yes, there really is a Mexican Buffet here! It's not flashy but it has everything you'd want for a flat fee of about $12 (use cash for a slight discount). A variety of steak, chicken, beef, toppings, shells to put them in... some pre-made items and queso is included too! Eat as much or as little as you want, it's high quality fresh food, you can build it exactly how you like, and more variety than ordering a single item off the menu. They were really attentive from the moment I walked in - greeting me with a smile, bringing me to a table, recommending the buffet (I was already going to), taking old plates, refilling water, refilling the buffet. In and out within about 30 minutes - could have been quicker if I ate less! For those that don't know, this building used to be a Ruby Tuesday. Thankfully they did not remodel so it still has the same vibe. The buffet is on the old salad bar, so it brought back some good memories even though it's different food. They did add a lot of mexican decor items and play appropriate music, it's a really great atmosphere in here. Great idea to add the branding on the tables, then every time someone posts a picture of the food, everyone knows where it's from. I noticed on the way out that they also have an outdoor patio for days that are not hotter than a sauna on mars! I'll be back pretty regularly, as it's a lot better deal and better quality than the Taco Bell across the street. I just wish I had found it sooner. Go now! (or the next weekday at lunchtime)
