With so many options of pastries to choose from, the Bakehouse is definitely worth visiting before your train ride šŸš† šŸ¤ #westchestercounty #westchesterny #cafelover #tarrytown #sleepyhallow #cafeaesthetic #hudsonvalley

This bakery alone is reason enough to move to Tarrytown! I live across the river but take the train to NYC occasionally, which was how I discovered this amazing cafe. First off, their almond croissant is absolutely the best in the world - as an almond croissant aficionado, I have tasted many many :-) - we buy them to take home wherever we pass through this station. Other items are of equal calibre in taste and quality. Most recently we sampled their savory biscuit, mushroom cheddar quiche and beef empanada, plus homemade lemonade. That was when we got the impulse to check out real estate prices in Tarrytown haha! Service is always friendly and attentive. The cafe is in the old defunct ticketing office/waiting hall, with a bathroom for all passengers (no purchase required for using the bathroom facilities). The entire place is artfully decorated and diligently kept pristine, hardly expected of a busy railway station. If you pass through this station, stop by this cafe/bakehouse for an unforgettable culinary experience!

I visited Tarrytown Bakehouse during my trip to Sleepy Hollow, and it turned out to be an absolute delight — the perfect sweet ending to my day! The bakery had a wonderful variety of baked goods, seasonal treats, and Halloween-themed desserts. I tried their Halloween cookies, a cheese and jalapeƱo empanada, and their famous Spider Cake, along with some coffee. Everything was delicious, but the Spider Cake deserves a special mention — it was truly one of the most heavenly cakes I’ve had during my time in New York! The ambiance was warm and cozy, with friendly and patient staff who kindly helped me out when I wasn’t sure what an empanada was. I really appreciated their kindness. One thing I missed trying was their chai latte, which I’m definitely going back for next time. Overall, Tarrytown Bakehouse is a must-visit spot if you’re in the area — charming, delicious, and full of heart.

I would give this establishment 10 stars if I could. Every meal, pastry, grab & go bite, snack, iced coffee (you name it) I’ve had here has been top notch. But what sets them apart is that you can clearly tell the food was made with LOVE. I had a chicken burrito today for the first time (I’ve been coming here a few times a month for over 2 years) and as I brought it on the train with me, I was immediately transported to a childhood memory when I tasted the rice in the burrito. Every bite of everything made here is intentional and flavorful and reminds me of home. Nothing I have ever eaten here tastes mass-produced/purchased. Whatever you are doing, don’t change it!!

It’s also in such a prime location. The prices are very reasonable and fair, and the quality of the food is excellent. Whatever you get, you will be sure to enjoy. It is so much more than a bakehouse to me, and I’ve recommended it to many family...

I typically travel up to this bakery on Saturday mornings with my toddler. We absolutely love the breakfast sandwiches that they have here. It is all part of the adventure. Even though it gets pretty busy inside they move through all of their guests pretty quickly. The quality of the service as well as the food that is served here is really great. Hopefully I will have some pictures soon to post of the incredible breakfast sandwiches that are served here.

I usually go for the bacon egg and cheese on a croissant & small drip coffee with cream and sugar in it.

This is a perfect adventure for Saturday morning to get out of the house. The ride up to Hudson line to get to this place is usually pretty stunning because it falls the river almost the whole route.

Highly recommended.

I have been here with my four-year-old probably seven times now. We will probably head up there...
