This occurred when I first moved into the area and needed several items for my new apartment. I arrived early in the day to Goldberg's Hardware and there were a number of Hispanic Gentlemen making purchases. I looked about and when it was my turn, I got to the cash register, and asked the person behind the counter if I could have a set of keys made. Turning to someone behind him, he yells out "Hey! We got one here that speaks English." Suffice to say, I ignored the comment and had my keys made.
Sadly however, Goldberg's owner lost a customer who needed gallons of paint and painting equipment, shelving and wall paper for 5 large rooms. Was also needed some gardening tools and and such. Goldberg needs to teach his employees to keep their racist comments to themselves or loose out...
Read moreEntitled...arrogant...I could go on? Oh yes and rude...BEWARE--there are many other great stores which offer wonderful service that have a kind staff. DIDN'T EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE ME WHEN I WALKED UP TO THE REGISTER. EVEN THOUGH I WASN'T PURCHASING ANYTHING...I VERY WELL COULD HAVE BEEN. SO EITHER THEY ARE RACIST, GREEDY, OR LIKE I SAID ENTITLED. CAN'T EVEN HANDLE CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM. PERHAPS AN EDUCATION WOULD HELP? MAYBE LEARNING SOME SKILLS IN THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT? YOU CERTAINLY COULD USE IT. AND YES I WILL TELL WHOEVER I WANT ABOUT YOUR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AND BEING AN UNKIND AND ARROGANT...
