I don’t like giving restaurants bad reviews but I definitely want to be honest with my opinion. The place is very small, very crowded. The server we got was very rude and not very helpful. When my 13 year old asked what things on the menu were he answered with sarcasm. I am not sure if he didn’t know the menu Or just don’t want to help us. He was very friendly with the rest of customer. The food was ok. I ordered lobster ravioli, my son had chicken parmesano but came with no Sides only the chicken, my 2nd son and husband had steak with side of green beans. We spent $282.00, ( we still left a $30 tip) I felt as if he was being discriminatory toward us. The customers were definitely making us feel uncomfortable with the stares. My family and I were celebrating a birthday. We definitely tried to make the night the best we could. I definitely would not recommend this restaurant and will not return there again. I hope you find this review helpful. (I only took 2 pictures as We were feeling very uncomfortable and did not want to attract anymore...
Read moreWe ordered all dishes from the specials, the apps were a pleasurable start that gave us hope for an even better main, however we were very disappointed. The apps: tom & mozz woth baldamic-good, oyster mushroom & asparagus app was very good. Then we get our main 🍝 pasta specials: fresh pappardelle with shrooms and shrimp, extremely over cooked, pasta falling apart, (dont get me wrong sometimes i love my pasta nice and soft but this was almost watery) and the sauce besides being salty was just very watery, likely from not draining the pasta enough. my husbands fresh rigatoni with Bolognese was also the same overcooked consistency and watery sauce. Very 😢 sad. The wine pour was nice 👍. We have been in Italy recently and it is nothing like Italian food in Italy. Also to compare where we did eat and enjoyed the experience: grotto di Fuego Long beach, Il Mulino roslyn- I think that is it for Italian on Long Island sadly, if anyone else recommends anything else on the Island please do so. we would love to try. in the city our fav are Il Bucco, Marrea,...
Read moreOne of the worst dining experiences ever!! Had heard/read so much about this place and was happily anticipating our birthday celebration. There was NOTHING to recommend about the restaurant. Although empty at lunch, we were seated close to the kitchen and had to ask to be changed. The waiter was rude and we definitely felt he thought we were cheap. Guess it was because we asked the cost of the specials. We've eaten at some of the best NYC restaurants and were always told how items were priced--without ever asking. In response to a dish I had read about, he actually said, "You won't want it. It costs $40." The bread was warm--and utterly unexceptional. The pasta for the lobster ravioli was way too thick for my taste and the other homemade pastas were just ok. Maybe if you're a regular, the service is different. I can assure you that rude, lousy attitude coupled with boring, overpriced food will NEVER bring me or my friends back. Massive disappointment. Go to Maiolino in Manhattan for great food and a...
