If you haven’t been to 1653 Pizza Company yet, trust me, you’re missing out! This place is easily one of the best spots in town, and I’m already planning my next visit. The vibe is super modern, inviting, and perfect for everything from date night to a chill hangout with friends.
Now, let’s talk about the food. Every dish we tried was outstanding, but the Oven Charred Mediterranean Octopus really stole the show. It’s perfectly cooked, tender with just the right amount of char, and the updated sauce takes it to a whole new level. If you’re hesitant about trying octopus, this dish will make you a believer. It’s absolutely delicious and a must-try.
But the amazing food doesn’t stop there. The coal-fired pizzas are fantastic. The 1653 Pizza and The Bronx Bacon are two standouts, with their crispy, chewy crusts and bold, unforgettable flavors that’ll have you coming back for more. And if you’re into pasta, you have to try the Rigatoni Vodka Sauce. It was crazy good, with a rich and creamy sauce that I’m still thinking about.
This place isn’t just about great food, it’s about great times. So, whether you’re here for a casual dinner or looking to impress someone with your insider food knowledge, 1653 Pizza Company is where you want to be. Grab your friends, and your family, and get here! You...

Dead Chef’s Tasting Menu at At 1654 Pizza Company – A Gold Coast Supper Club Experience
Last night on Long Island’s Gold Coast, I had the pleasure of experiencing something truly special: Dead Chef’s tasting menu at At 1654 Pizza Company in Huntington. What unfolded wasn’t just a dinner, but a full-on culinary performance that transformed the idea of a neighborhood pizza spot into a hidden gem supper club.
The evening unfolded course after course, each dish layered with creativity, bold flavors, and a touch of surprise. From refined takes on comfort food to plates that made you pause and savor every detail, it was clear that this wasn’t a typical night out—it was a carefully curated journey meant to linger in memory.
The atmosphere matched the menu: intimate, buzzing with energy, and elevated by a sense of discovery. Every dish felt like a conversation, and the storytelling behind the flavors was as captivating as the food itself.
Outstanding is the only word that fits—yet still feels like an understatement. This wasn’t just a meal; it was an experience that makes you excited for...
Read moreA must-visit spot and a true local gem! I came to try the pizza and left thoroughly impressed. The ambiance is inviting, the food exceeds expectations, and the portion sizes are generous, far above the average restaurant.
We sampled five dishes: crispy artichoke hearts, Caesar salad, rigatoni vodka, wild mushroom pizza, and an ice cream sandwich. Every single item was absolutely delicious! The pizza was spot-on, the artichokes were perfectly cooked, and the rigatoni was clearly made to order, bursting with rich flavor. The Caesar salad was fresh, crisp, and served in a large family-sized bowl, enough for three people to share comfortably.
The service was attentive and well-paced, striking the perfect balance. On our way out, the owner, Frank, personally stopped to thank us after I complimented the staff—a thoughtful touch from a nice guy !
The biggest surprise? The pricing. Each dish is incredibly reasonable. They could easily raise their prices by 20%-30% and still be competitive, but they haven’t. It’s clear this restaurant values and respects the community it serves, which is rare to find these days.
Well done! This is definitely a spot to enjoy a...
