I believe that the reviews for this restaurant are inflated. The food is just okay and way too expense for what you get. I ordered from Elsie Lane via Uber Eats on 12/3/22 for myself and guests and we were all left pretty disappointed.
We ordered 12 wings for $19.50 plus tax (before Uber Eats fees added) and received a bucket of wings that were mediocre, thrown into the bucket so that the bottom wings were soggy and wet. They flavor was passable, nothing special, barely seasoned. As you can see from the picture, 12 wings for $20 came with literally 2 small baby carrots and 2 small bite size celery sticks. That's ridiculous.
We ordered the Buffalo Ranch salad for $16.50 which was supposed to come with buffalo ranch dressing but instead came with 1 tablespoon of regular ranch dressing. Is this the end of the world? No. But we ordered this specific buffalo salad for the flavor listed on the menu and it was missing the main ingredient that makes this a buffalo salad.
We also ordered the New Nashville chicken sandwich and a side of fries. The sandwich was average, not bad, not great. It was missing the tomato.
The side of fries were undercooked and soggy. They were string shoe fries for $4 which I will say is probably the only appropriately priced item on this menu.
If you are going to offset 100% of the cost of inflation to your customers, you should at least attempt to maintain a high standard...
Read moreWould give a 5 star because the food is truly a 5, but the service made them lose a star on my end. I live about an hour away and I’m always telling my friends we have to go there for drinks since I had take out from there before and the food was great I’m assuming the drinks are as good (still havent had them because of the distance I’m the designated driver). Went there with my boyfriend yesterday but he didn’t want anything from their menu so I ordered my food to go. Since it was going to take about 15 mins we went to see what he could get in the area, his food was ready quick, and by the time I went to pick mine up, he had his. I noticed they bad a patio and asked the lady at the bar (lady with bangs) if we could sit there as she handed me my food and my boyfriend paid. She (rudely) said that the area is for dine in only, but proceeded to ask my boyfriend if he wanted the change… and no we didn’t want the change, but the audacity to basically ask for a tip while you’re telling me I cant sit and eat my food I just purchased from here… even if my bf had outside food, the place wasn’t full she could just have let us eat there, it’s not like this is a steakhouse or high end restaurant… had we stayed we definitely would have spent more money and I would have finally tried their drinks. Luckily the tacos place down the block (where we didnt purchase anything from) let us sit at one of their...
Read moreI came all the way into the Village for lunch on 1/23 specifically for Elsie Lane but was told upon arrival that they are closing due to lack of patrons (even though I was standing right there, actively trying to be a patron).
Ok no problem, I head over to New Wave and had a great margarita and burrito. But I am still dying to try Elsie Lane’s wings, so tonight I order off Uber Eats with specific sauces requested, but when the order arrived there was no sauce for my wings, essentially ruining my dinner.
Called up to complain and the girl who answered actually hung up on me! Unbelievable. She couldn’t handle a complaint and handled it in the worst way possible.
Got a manager on the phone and he refunded my orderbut I still wasted money on delivery fees and driver tip.
I really wanted to try Elsie Lane and love it! My gf and I were going to come here for dinner before seeing Greensky Bluegrass on 2/4 at Paramount, but forget it.
Tl;dr. 3 strikes and it’s out. I won’t...
