Always a lovely dining experience. The portions are very generous, the food is delish, fresh, healthy and plated in a very homey, grounding and pleasing way. Clearly every detail was thought about. Staff was professional, accommodating, attentive, welcoming and quite pleasant. I’m not a regular but clearly there are many regulars who were greeted by name with smiles - but I felt just as welcome. Everything was delicious. I wish that the restaurant had a policy that if someone is going to put an iPhone in front of their toddler for the entire meal - that the device could not be on speaker phone - but instead - the child had to use headphones. If an adult was watching videos with the phone on speaker - even low (but audible) I would politely ask them to mute it or wear headphones - so they I didn’t have to hear the sound - but it doesn’t feel ok to ask a parent to mute it for their child - as they want their child to focus on the device. But that’s more of a social - societal issue - and not isolated to this establishment per se. I am easily auditorially distracted - probably most people can tune that out. There were more seats further back - but I also enjoy being near the window in the front- so it was my choice to sit near the child watching videos with the speaker phone.
I saw another customer take a phone call outside - which was very considerate so I’m sure this varies … the vibe is very lively and friendly and likely- the owner allows the children to play their videos on speaker - in a “live and let live” way !
I would be a regular here if I lived closer - it’s healthy - homey- healthy- the decor is lovely - and we have a great experience each time.
It seems they can accommodate all sizes of Parties - moving tables around easily. Plenty of Gf and...
Read moreCafé Kriza served me one of the best meals that I have ever eaten in a restaurant. To start, the service was outstanding. The waitress always brought the food right away, and was really careful about answering all my questions, as I have many food allergies, and went out of her way to provide me with the best dining experience. The avocado, egg, and tomato sandwich was really nice as it was both tasty and had a great texture. I highly recommend trying their shakshuka as it provides your mouth with the ultimate experience of a dish that pleasures your tastebuds, is spicy, and is beautiful to look at all at the same time. The chefs there are extremely skilled as they know how to cook an inexpensive meal in a short about of time while making sure that is has all the great flavor. This is a great place to go out to with friends for breakfast or lunch, and is really amazing as it is cholov yisrael and is certified by Rabbi Ben Chaim. I can’t wait till I go...
Read moreGreat kosher dairy food and cozy place BUT the wait times for the food is way way way too long AND the male owner is just out right disrespectful. My friends and I came in one night when it was pretty crowded and the female owner (seems to be his wife) told us it would be about a 25 minute wait and we can wait by the door. The male owner came to us 20 minutes later YELLING (like actually, causing a scene) at us to leave and that he had no room for us. We explained calmly that the woman told us to wait and he said, "I don't care what she said, I'm telling you to leave!" I felt bad for the woman because you can tell she was mortified, but at the end of the day, it's still unacceptable. Wouldn't ever go back. Unless I heard his...
