Naz’s Halal Food - Carle Place — Restaurant in Town of North Hempstead

I had been going to this location for years, use to be absolutely phenomenal. I heard a few people say it’s not the same but I was really craving chicken & rice with good white sauce. So on my way home from work I called in the order, I wanted to surprise my pregnant best friend because she said she could go for some chicken & rice too. I asked for extra white sauce and green sauce, they said they don’t have green sauce, which is unheard of but I accepted and still placed the order. When I had ordered I told them what sodas I wanted, when I got there they told me to go get whatever sodas I ordered out of the fridge. I then get home so excited to finally eat after a long day. I open the container and it’s about half a container of food and little to no white sauce on it. Half of the container was salad which wasn’t even dried properly because there was a pool of water under my rice. My pregnant friends didn’t even eat half of her meal.

I recently visited Naz’s Halal Food and tried their chicken over rice platters, chicken kofta platter and the cheese fries. Unfortunately, my experience was mixed.

Starting with the portion sizes, they were noticeably small. I could tell just by holding the platter that it was not as hefty as I expected. The chicken kofta was a bit hard and chewy, which was disappointing. However, the chicken platters were quite good, with well-seasoned and tasty chicken. The sauce carried the platter.

I went back inside to request a larger portion, but the staff mentioned they were only following the owner's instructions on portion sizes. This response was a bit frustrating, especially since I know the Deer Park location serves much more generous portions. Blaming the owner seemed like an excuse and added to the overall dissatisfaction with my visit.

In conclusion, while the food at Naz’s Halal Food was decent, the portion sizes and customer service left much to be desired. It's a stark contrast to the experience at the Deer Park location, which I would recommend...

used to be awesome - we used to give them a lot of business and recommend them a lot but now we don't recommend them or give them our business. They are extremely cheap with how much meat they give you now, don't pay for extra protein they don't give you extra. If you pay for extra protein, it's basically what they used to give you as a regular portion. I've ordered on Grubhub and pretty much every platform, including pick ups, and the second half of 2024 and early 2025 they've really deteriorated. At this point, do not take advantage of the buy one get one free offer on Uber eats, and don't spend your money here unless you're desperate. Go to the alternatives/order from the alternatives because they're gonna give you more meat and food rather than fill you up with a bunch of rice and call it extra protein etc. You guys are shooting yourself in...
