Just had a frustrating and disappointing Shake Shack experience tonight at this location. My husband and I placed the order on the app for pick up since the place was busy inside. We waited in the parking lot until we got the text that our order was ready. My husband went in and in fact, order was not ready. He had to wait an additional 20 mins until they had our order out. This was just a slight annoyance but seeing that they were packed tonight (Saturday night), we came to accept that it sometimes happen. We got over it. Another interesting observation was that our bag was oddly sticky. Sure, it’s a food place and things can get sticky. We threw on some sanitizer and got over it. We got home and to our surprise (is it really at this point?) our order was missing some chicken bites...we got our Korean sauces but no chicken bites. Lovely. We went back to the app to try and at least get a refund for the chicken bites we never received. There’s no option to. Awesome. And now I have to deal with a hangry husband who refuses to eat the food we ordered because of this experience at this location. Fun. Is he being dramatic? Yes. Are we feeling salty towards this particular location? Yes. Will we be back at this location? No. Will we be back at another location? Debatable.
A good thing that came out of this was that I finally found out that the Korean sauce is delicious. We were curious about it for quite some time and now I know. If only I had some chicken bites to enjoy it with...
Overall, please improve your notification’s response to real time. We wouldn’t have minded waiting in the car longer if that was what was needed. We just didn’t appreciate the false alarm of our food being ready when it wasn’t. And we know now to always check if our order is all there. We usually do when it comes to other food chain places but now we know that this ritual needs to be applied here as well. “Trust is...
Read moreThis is a decently important review for customers and the owner/managers. This review is in no way trying to take a shot at the establishment or its employees. This review is simply a review for more heightened awareness. I’m a very healthy athletic individual with no health problems and around three weeks ago, I bought a few Shack burgers from this current location. I ordered two Shack cheeseburgers, fries, and a drink. The fries and drink were good, there was nothing wrong with them. The Shack cheeseburgers however were very hard and rough. The edges of the patties were unexpectedly sharp to the point that they literally cut my rectum on the way out after the digestion process. Sorry for being graphic but this is the main reason for this review and why I am now leaving this review three weeks after the fact. I wasn’t going to leave this review but since I am still dealing with this problem, I felt that I should leave this review so others do not fall susceptible to the very same situation. Now almost every time I go to the bathroom (not every time) there is a small trace of blood due to an irritation right by the exit entrance. There is absolutely no blood in the stool. Shack burgers are not moist or juicy, they are very hard, rough, and sharp. Especially around the edges of the patty as I mentioned. Look at the edges of your patties next time you eat at Shake Shack. They are rough, hard, and sharp. They need to use some extra virgin olive oil to soften the patties up a bit. All their well done patties are like jagged edged ninja stars that will literally cut your insides up. I can’t be the only person that this has happened to so I’m sure more people have unfortunately experienced the...
Read morei've been going to Shake Shack consistently since the first week it opened at Madison Square Park. When the Garden City branch opened I became a regular customer there. One thing I have to say is that The staff has always been great. Here is the Shake Shack enigma... I love Shake Shack hamburgers... I am there at least once a week sometime more than three times a week. But I never understood the french fries... As special as the Hamburgers are, that is how mediocre to poor the french fries are. I mean, I have to admit I go to five guys sometimes just to get their french fries and I grew up on Nathan's french fries and let's face it... if You grew up in Brooklyn like I did...Nathan's french fries are in your bloodstream. I don't know why Shake Shack is not letting go og these frozen crinkle cuts from the 1950s. Is it a memory of their mom? Let's forget it folks drop the illusion it's not working they are inconsistently cooked and have no flavor... They're just there.... and they are a vehicle to put some ketchup on ....that's it. they could do so much better! How about tater tots? Everybody loves those! You imagine how many tater totsvyou could sell Shake Shack? You could sell tater tots with all kinds of dipping sauces. Get in touch with me. I'll run your tater tot division for you, I'm not kidding.... You are missing a major product segment by just ignoring moving from these antique french fries of yours. People love fries and read what people say about five guys the ultimate hamburger rip off but they go there just to eat the french fries!! And be sure...nobody's coming to Shake Shack just to eat YOUR french fries I have to tell you. Just...
