Cro' Nest — Restaurant in Town of Philipstown

We went to Cro’nest and what a refreshing change of pace after waiting for too long for a table at a place down the street. Well, everything happens for a reason. We found a nice cozy spot on the porch and enjoyed a cheese plate along with some wine. The cheese plate came with a nice assortment of cheeses, along with crackers, pita bread, dried apricots, dates, and almonds for my husband in a separate cup (I’m allergic.) I had some Sauvignon Blanc from France for the first time and it was crisp and refreshing. I wish I got the girl’s name who took care of us, but she was so attentive, cheerful, pleasant, (I hope she sees this!) and even brought a bowl of water for our dog, Snowball. (Yes, they are pup friendly!) The outside porch is great spot to relax and people watch. Although I didn’t spend much time inside there, the inside was dark, cozy, with chairs, couches, wine bottles, and music.
