I am kind of a healthy food nut and very suspicious about what chain restaurants are doing the food they are serving me, so I try to avoid chains as much as I can. But I will say that I feel pretty good about eating at Five Guys - even though it's hamburgers and french fries that are full of fat and calories. Every once in a while I allow myself to enjoy their wonderfully tasty hamburgers and oh so fresh vegetables on their burgers!
I like that they offer "Little" burgers and even list the calories. My husband has actually started ordering the "little" burger as well as we both start thinking more about what an appropriate portion size really is.
The one thing I wish they would do is offer a "small" french fry. The regular is way too much for even my husband and I to share. I hate that I actually throw away 1/2 the fries. That is so wrong on so many levels. #1 I'm paying for something I'm not eating, #2 it's wasteful, and #3 surely it would be a could financial decision to offer a smaller portion for the restaurant and reduce cost of shipping the potatoes and the staff time it takes to cook...
Read moreive had an experience today that i have never had before at any food establishment in upstate ny. i was thrilled when walking in to see that there was a no bun option, and not only that they had 2 options to chose from. this is nice but what sets them a part is that after, they asked me if this was preference or allergy related. NEVER in ANY OTHER food establishment have i been asked this. i then had the pleasure of watching them use proper food preparation to accommodate my food allergies. it may seem small but not having to explain how prepare my food or getting strange looks and getting tossed a ridiculous excuse for a meal because its not a usual request was fantastic. the staff was more than friendly, the food was awesome, fast and it was by far the best made burger with a lettuce wrap i have ever had in the entire upstate ny area. i am only sad that i don't live here and theres no five guys near me. macie m. was a fabulous help navigating all your options and the other young lady was great as well. thank...
Read moreThis location used to be a really good Five Guys location. However, my last trip there was at 9:30pm one weeknight. The staff was very unmotivated and moved at a zombie-like pace when it came to making the orders for the patrons. All the patrons waited for approximately 12 minutes for their food, which I know is not standard for Five Guys. Our milkshakes were somehow bland; no peanut butter flavor to be found. Our regular fries were also terribly overcooked and covered in Cajun seasoning that we didn't order and barely any salt. Glad we don't have an allergy, a mistake like that could really mess someone up. Our burgers were okay overall. To top it all off, the unmotivated and slow staff picked up the pace for closing procedures. Overall, it was an unwelcoming and dissatisfactory experience that has lost myself and my fiance as customers for this location. Easily the worst Five Guys experience I have had in...
