The edamame, kimchi, salmon rice bowl, kimichi ramen, and udon ramen, and salmon avocado roll were all super tasty. However, the service downright sucked. We were a table of 3 who chose our seats and quickly got our sparkling water we ordered however after that it took 45 minutes just for our waitress to come. After ordering it took another 45 minutes for our food to come and another table that sat down 30 minutes after us got their appeteizers before us. We also only got our two of our main meals and two appeteizers so we were still waiting for an appeteizer and a main meal. Another table was also obviously unhappy and dissapointed with the service another table even left and told us it was because they saw the "service" we recieved. We did get a four piece gyoza that our waiter said was on her. That didnt change the fact that our other appeteizer and main meal came 30 minutes after our first appeteizer and main meals which came out in the wrong order. The waiter that gave us the gyoza also came over at the end and treated us to two sodas and a sake and some kids crackers and a lollipop (which all kids got). Finally the salmon avocado roll was the only thing that seamed really unreasonable priced it was sixteen dollars for six pieces which were good but definitely not worth sixteen dollars. I was very grafetul that they apologized and gave us things that were on the house but for such and expensive place I...
Read moreWe arrived at around 7 oclock, the waitress showed us our table and proceeded to ignore us until 7:45. I thought she was really busy so insisted that we stay, so we waited another 10 mins and realized we may as well sleep on the tables and perhaps if we are lucky get woken up sometime in the middle of the night and finally have our drink orders taken. This prospect was not a part of our itinerary so we left and apologized to the poor boy bussing tables and took our chances at another establishment down the street. They were not all that busy, they had several open tables and to be fair I think they were understaffed. We just didn't have the time to wait a full hour just for our drink orders to be taken, mostly out of fear that if we Did place our orders, it would be at least another hour before we got the drinks. I tremble at the thought of what it would have been like had I actually ordered food, perhaps I would still be there to this day? Who knows. If you do go to this place, bring enough water, food, and supplies to last at least a couple days. You will definitely need to bring a hammock or sleeping pad. Perhaps a plow and seeds so you could start homesteading...
Read moreThe food was amazing and was quick to come out, it’s a nice twist of Japanese traditional with North Fork flair. I’m a local so I do come here a few times a year because I’m obsessed with the Duck Ramen. I normally would leave a glowing review but I just can’t because of the one (French maybe?) waitress. Everytime I have come here she has been so incredibly rude that it actually takes the joy out of coming here. When we were ordering I asked for the hot green tea and she responded with “I told you drinks are on the back, I just said that to you” and proceeded to aggressively flip my menu in front of me and scoff at me. I really wanted to get up and leave but my friends were with me and we really wanted Japanese food and didn’t want to drive to Riverhead. I wish they had a waitress that was kinder as everything is perfect, even the bathroom except for the service because of the attitude of the...
