Got carryout. Wedge Salad was good, but smaller wedge than I'm used to seeing. More of a 1/5th. Spaghetti with meat sauce - upon opening container sauce looked old, dried out. I had just left restaurant 15 min. Ago. Sauce was on top as if it was prepared in the past, refrigerated. Then heated up mildly when ordered. And I can tell sauce that just came out of a pot that was made that day and sauce that is a few days old. It was conjealed. But I can still eat it. But then the red tide smell had taken over the pasta and sauce. Salad- no probkem, obviously fresh, but the spaghetti had soaked up the nasty smell of the red tide. (May sound crazy. But true) and was given 3 small pieces of Garlic bread. For $30+ to feed 1 person. Very disappointing. And I've eaten there before and liked it. (See how the sauce holds the fork shape ? That's old sauce, dehydrated from over cooking. )

Wonderful hidden gem of a restaurant! Didn't realize it was the sand-castle festival and looked for a place to eat that wasn't so crowded. So glad we stumbled on this place. Very inviting from the outside. "Josh" was an unbelievable server even though he was busy. Very funny and kind. Gave us his recommendations and we couldn't have asked for a better pasta dish. It was large enough for the 2 of us. Very fresh ingredients, they make their Italian sausage in-house. Nice wine/beer selection. Bread was hot and fresh when it arrived. Only downfalls were it was VERY noisy, and can only think it had to do with the festival that weekend? Also didn't like that people were allowed to smoke right by the front door and as door was open, it got in the restaurant. Will definitely be back on a quieter evening as the "Rigatoni Salsiccia" is to die for! Thank you!

We really like Italian food.... Gigi's was a pleasant surprise just across the street from the Bilmar where we spent a long 3-day weekend before school starts back up. The decorating in this place is kind of a throwback to the 70s or 80s with wood paneling and large colored globe light fixtures. I LOVE IT!! It adds a certain ambiance reminiscent of good family-owned italian restaurants my parents took me to in Queens and Brooklyn in NYC where I grew up. The food was very good! See the pics. We had pasta pomodoro, chicken marsala and the pasta combo. All were great, complimented with garlic bread, freshly toasted each time a basket is brought to the table. Give them a try if you haven't been here before.... And come again if you have! A thumbs up is appreciated!

My family and I got to Florida and the place we are staying had a Gigi's pamphlet in the lobby. Thinking the menu selection looked nice, we decided to go there for dinner. We arrived a little after 6 pm on a Wednesday. There weren't many people seated for dinner at the time. We walked in and the hostess sat us down immediately. We were seated at a corner booth next to a few fish tanks. Waiter came by and asked for drink orders. The drinks were the ONLY items we received in a timely manner. We then ordered our appetizer and meals at the same time. Which looking back now, we are glad we did if we knew how long we would have to sit there and wait for our food. The waiter then brought out a basket of garlic bread. They looked good but were soggy and soft. I hoped this wasn't a foreshadowing of the food we ordered. Our calamari came out about 15 minutes later and it was soggy and lukewarm. We then waited 40 more minutes for our food. While we were waiting forever for our food, we were watching 4 or 5 employees just hanging out at the front in the lobby, chatting it up and talking and texting on their phones. I wasn't sure what their jobs were at the restaurant as I did not see them doing anything at all. The restaurant was not busy so we were wondering what on earth would have taken us so long to get our food. The food we ordered was very bland. It was hot but hardly any flavor and we did not eat it all. Our waiter was also very unfriendly and seemed bothered to have to refill drinks, etc. Anything that comes with a server job. During our whole meal, the family across from us didn't look happy at all either. On our way out I made my way to their table and asked if their experience was as horrible as ours and they agreed. Best part of Gigi's experience was joking about it with another family. Do not go there. Not worth the time. Especially vacation time. One star for...

Nice atmosphere, greeted and seated quickly and kindly. We sat for a good 8 minutes before anyone asked for a drink order. We were given our drinks, then left alone for another long while. Our waiter passed our table 4 times without even looking at us. I had to call after him to ask what the soup and catch of the day were. I feel this should have been told to us by the hostess. After being ignored for a while, we were told our waiter is going home and he just wanted to get out of there. So the young man hanging out at the bench behind the host stand took our order. We ordered an appetizer and were ready with our dinner order as well. The bruschetta was very fresh and delicious. Our meals came out in great time. I ordered the shrimp and broccoli and it was very good, fresh, and had great flavor. My husband ordered the pasta combo and was very disappointed. He said it had no flavor, just that it was like a whole jar of sauce had been put in the dish. He didn't even finish it, which is never something he does. Our drinks were empty, and sat empty for a while as both waiters and the manager walked by our table. We eventually got another drink. We were both very disappointed in our visit, but I would say the most disappointing thing was that the manager walked by our table 4 times and never even said hello, much less asked us how our meal was. In our opinion, don't waste your time or...

first I didn't give this any starts but you have to at least give one to post! Our family traveled from Knoxville Tennessee to spend a week here at treasure island the first day here we decided we wanted Italian I walked in first I wasn't greeted, I stood for a bit and when the young girl behind the counter asked if I needed something I said yes we would like to eat here I told her we had 11 3 adults and the rest children all she did was grin and said yea that's not gonna happen and nothing else no sorry nothing. Maybe they just have small tables or just want adults but a nice explanation would have been better. This restaurant says on it's add that they have great southern hospitality but that's far from the truth! I have owned and ran restaurants in Knoxville and I would never had treated guess like that i have even recommended places when we didn't have room. So I walked out and went across the street to the BRGR kitchen and bar across the street and I highly recommend it the treated us like they wanted our money and the food is awesome!! All together we spent over 200 and have 50 bucks tip(I've been a server, manager and owner so I tip good) maybe Gigi's just doesn't like money!!! So once again if you want real southern hospitality go to the BRGR KITCHEN AND BAR.. YOU WONT BE...
