Original Pizza — Restaurant in Treasure Island

Don't bother choosing a pizza or trying the side items (which other reviewers say are gross, anyway), and for God's sake don't plan on dining in at this sweltering hot dive (I think there is one table).

I talked to Satan once while he was waiting for his pie at this joint, and he couldn't take it. He said he was going back to Hell to cool off.

Anyway, this is one of those places where you discover the little gems you were never looking for. I used to live about a half mile from here, and quite by chance stumbled upon one of the best cheesesteaks ever. I am admittedly a cheesesteak snob, and this is in my top five local sandwiches. It's different than the typical "Philly style hoagie," but I can't put my finger on what it is. For one thing, the bread here is a bit chewy. But even if that's not your thing, you have to try this Philly....

Have been coming to Treasure Island for years and walked by this gem and never ordered, until today. We were looking for good mouth watering pizza. Local reviews told us to try another place in the area, which we did, and were so disappointed. Today we ordered from Original Pizza and we will be returning customers when we come back for vacation. Original Pizza has been a true staple in our community for as long as I can remember. My family has been going here for years, and we are so happy to see it reopened under new ownership after Hurricane Helene. The new owners have brought fresh energy into this already well-loved local favorite, and it’s clear they are committed to keeping the same high standards that made it famous in the first place.
