Gave 5 stars for excellent service, great food and nice clean restaurant. Everything was great and we would definitely come back....Just a couple of small things...NOT complaints at all...just requests that I personally would appreciate and I think others would too..... For new people who have never been here and dont know what they would like, I think it would be GREAT to have a sample plate offered....with single bite size pieces of each meat and maybe a single bite size sample of 3 sides of our choice for maybe $5 or so....I dont expect it for free but I would have not wasted so much if I had known that the mac n cheese and bbq beans were SSSSSSOOOOOO much better than my coleslaw n tater salad...lol 😆. Im curious about the green beans too....so yeah a sampler plate would be nice 🙂. I would request that the bathrooms be mens and womens specific and NOT for both....Its not sanitary for little girls to have to sit on a toilet after a man or boy who sprinkles when he tinkles. She may not know to get a paper towel and soap and wash the lid before she sits down. 😳😩 So each gender needs their own bathroom in my opinion. 🙂 Other than that everything was...
Read moreI had the 3 meat combo, a water, and left a $6.00 tip for $35.45 total. A tad high for 1 person. I chose ribs, brisket, and pork with double green beans. They do not offer a salad here but it came with 2 huge pieces of bread. Im on keto and cannot eat bread. The green beans were hospital bland and tasted straight from a can. The brisket was dry and tough enough to need the plastic knife to try to cut. There was a small visible smoke ring. They may wish to try wrapping and resting and/or cooking longer and slower for better results. The pork was flavorless and dry as cardboard. The ribs were actually good. Moist and juicy with just the right pull. How they managed to find them so small i will never know- almost like they were cut in half. Bottom line unfortunately is for $35 there is simply better bbq out there where you get more for less, and even at their 2 long term competitors in Troy. If a franchise they will never make it once the hype wears off. If a company store I hope they have...
Read moreIt is a family dining, smoked meat little restaurant. You order your meal at the counter and they bring your plate to you. Drinks you get yourself, condiments "a nice selection of barbecue sauces" ketchup, salt and pepper, etc., your cutlery, you also get yourself. The pulled pork was excellent! Tender and juicy, just the right amount of smoke. I had the green beans and a baked potato. The baked potato was not very good, overcooked and dry, the green beans were very good My husband had pulled pork as well, but had coleslaw and potato salad with his. He liked his whole meal. Service was quick and friendly, the place was clean. Very noisy inside... If you are older and would have to wear hearing aids, this is not a place for you to sit and dine. Hard to hear... They play music over the din of the restaurant itself. So then I would suggest...
