I don’t even know where to start. Go. That’s where to start. Go. Immediately go to this gem. The employee at the counter was super nice, which is always a nice start. We got a coffee (excellent…just a nice, full bodied medium roast), a chocolate croissant, a twice baked almond and chocolate croissant, and the piece de resistance the ham and cheese croissant. Okay here goes…I’ve been cooking professionally starting when I was 14 and I’m 47 now. I only say it to quantify what a food nerd I am. Moving on. The ham and cheese croissant, who’s simple name belies the majesty of what it really is. This masterpiece now sits in my top five food items I have ever eaten. It sits high on my list of things I’ve experienced in my life. The balance of the butter, flour, salt, sweet, ham, cheese, and the Maillard crust is so perfect that it almost defies physics. Whoever made this should be revered in Truckee, and known forever for their greatness. I am not kidding. This was hands down the best $6 I’ve EVER SPENT. EVER. I’m only in town for a few days, but I’m heading back now (30mins later) to get a second. I will be back tomorrow and the next day as well. If I meet the baker, I will get an autograph and a pic. This place is a treat. We ordered a cake for our anniversary, when we stopped in the morning to pick up our cake, we decided to try some of the pastries. I ordered a Bear Claw and my wife ordered something else and the reason I cant remember what she ordered was because the Bear Claw was possibly the greatest pastry I've ever had. The crumbly exterior and not to sweet interior mad for something truly special. Basically I am in love with the bear claw.

The Cake the evening might have been the best cake I've ever had too. We ordered the small and had a few slices after our anniversary dinner and were both amazed how good it was, like heaven in cake form. The next day we sill had most of the cake left and brought it to our friends house to share in the nirvana, one of our friends told us they didn't want any because they were not "big fans of cake". That friend went on to eat three slices.

On par with French croissant 🏆 Born and raised in NYC realized while traveling North America and abroad not all food is created equal with love and care. The chocolate croissant is the best I’ve ever had.

If ya buy one suggest eat it over a plate or where the flakes can fall to the ground. Messy decadent goodness.

Recommended as a stop by Youtuber @NikkiDelventhal learned of this quaint shop. While driving across country it isn’t far from Fernley, NV along the way to see family.

Parking is a challenge when busy.

Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Because of so many patrons filling seats didn’t take photos of the indoor set up. Lots and lots of chill spots to enjoy.
